摘要: A charging control apparatus is adapted to control an alternator which is operable to generate a voltage to charge a battery which is operable to supply the voltage to an electric component. An interface is connected to the alternator, the battery, and the electric component and operable to input and output a signal therebetween. A microcomputer is connected to the inter face and operable to execute a gradual change process in which a generating voltage of the alternator is gradually changed to a target generating voltage of the alternator and a sudden change process in which the generating voltage is suddenly changed to the target generating voltage. The microcomputer is operable to detect a using status of the electric component based on the signal. The microcomputer is operable to judge whether the gradual change process is required or the sudden change process is required based on the detected using status. The microcomputer executes the sudden change process when the microcomputer judges that the sudden change process is required. The microcomputer executes the gradual change process when the microcomputer judges that the gradual change process is required.

摘要: A collimator array includes a substrate; a plurality of lenses formed on one face of the substrate; and a plurality of projecting parts, each of which is formed on a portion corresponding to the lens on the other face of the substrate, respectively and is fusion-connected to an optical fiber, respectively; wherein an area of the fusion-connected face of the projecting part with respect to the optical fiber is set to be larger than a cross sectional area of the optical fiber. Thereby, it is possible to provide a collimator having fewer variations in an output beam angle and a diameter of an output beam and having excellent strength, and a method for manufacturing the same.

摘要: In a WDM transmission system, a wavelength selecting switch demultiplexes a first WDM light containing a plurality of wavelength components into a plurality of single wavelength lights each containing corresponding one of the wavelength components, effects multiplexing on the plurality of single wavelength lights to form a second WDM light, and effects demultiplexing on the outputted second WDM light. A wavelength demultiplexing unit demultiplexes the demultiplexed second WDM light into a plurality of wavelength demultiplexed lights for every wavelength component so that physical quantity monitoring can be made on each wavelength demultiplexed light deriving from the demultiplexing. In this way, transmission channel switching can be independently effected on the wavelength light having a single component contained in the WDM light, wavelength demultiplexing elements provided in a spectral optical system can be shared to reduce the number of elements, and the wavelength selection switch can be assembled with ease.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a terminal device including a photodetector, amplitude detecting circuit, light source, drive circuit, and control circuit. The photodetector receives a first optical signal. The amplitude detecting circuit detects the amplitude of an output from the photodetector. The drive circuit supplies a drive current to the light source so that the light source outputs a second optical signal. The control circuit decreases and increases the drive current according to an increase and decrease in the amplitude detected by the amplitude detecting circuit, respectively. In the case that this terminal device is used with another terminal device to construct a network, the dynamic range of the other terminal device can be reduced. Accordingly, the use of this terminal device can improve the extensibility of the network.
