摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a display apparatus which can be miniaturized and is operated stably even at high resolution. The display apparatus according to the present invention includes a pixel array unit, a signal line driving circuit, and a scanning line driving circuit, each of which is formed by using a polysilicon TFT on a glass substrate, a control circuit, and a graphic controller IC. Since the graphic controller IC rearranges digital pixel data DATA in the inside, it is unnecessary to provide a gate array. Since the cycle of a clock signal CLK is twice as much as that of the digital pixel data DATA, the clock signal CLK having a frequency at which the polysilicon TFT normally operates can be supplied to the signal line driving circuit. Further, since the edge of the clock signal CLK is deviated from the changing position of the digital pixel data DATA and they are outputted, the signal line driving circuit can effectively capture the digital pixel data DATA.

摘要: A pixel electrode is disposed with an inclination angle to a base member on a front side (namely, an opposite substrate side) of a liquid crystal display panel. The relation between the reflecting surface of the pixel electrode and the main surface of the base member on the front side of the liquid crystal display panel is defined so that the difference between the reflecting angle of light that is entered as incident light and reflected on the surface of the base member and the leaving angle of light emitted as display light via the liquid crystal display panel exceeds the collection angle of the display apparatus. Thus, undesired light on the main surface of the base member of the display surface is separated from light that is displayed. Consequently, an image free of dazzling and deterioration of contrast ratio due to undesired reflected light can be obtained with a high contrast ratio. In a display apparatus containing the reflection type liquid crystal display, an incident surface to a dichroic prism is an inclined surface, not a surface that is perpendicular to the optical axis. Thus, signal light that is reflected on each reflection type liquid crystal display panel and that is displayed can be separated from undesired light that is reflected on the surface of the dichroic prism. Thus, an image with a high quality, and a high contrast ratio can be displayed.

摘要: A solid-state image sensing device such as an interline-transfer type charge coupled device generates signal charges in response to incident light to produce an image signal. The CCD output signal includes a mixed reset pulse component from a reset pulse driver to the IT-CCD, as well as an image signal component corresponding to the signal charges. When the IT-CCD contains a defective picture element, position data of the defective picture element is stored into an address memory. An amplitude controller detects an increment of a signal level corresponding to a dark current generated at the defective picture element, and temporarily decreases the amplitude of the reset pulse only when the image signal is output from the defective picture element. In this way, the mixed reset pulse contained in the image signal output from the defective picture element is reduced, thereby subtracting the signal level increment from the CCD output signal produced from the defective picture element.
