    摘要: The invention is directed to a method of manufacturing an image display, comprising the step of sticking an adhesive optical film to an image display panel substrate surface having a display defect-inducible scratch, wherein the adhesive optical film is selected and used according to the image display panel such that the formula: Y×(0.97X+0.45)>0.19Z−0.006 is satisfied, wherein X (mm) is the amount of creep displacement one hour after a load of 500 g is applied at 23° C. to a 10 mm square of an adhesion area of the adhesive optical film stuck to the panel substrate, Y (mm) is the thickness of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the adhesive optical film, and Z (mm) is a half length of the length of long side of the scratch of the image display panel substrate surface. According to the invention, a display defect, which would otherwise be caused by an scratch of the image display panel substrate, is avoided by filling the scratch with the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer of the adhesive optical film.

    摘要: This invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that exhibits excellent pressure-sensitive adhesive properties after crosslinking treatment, does not cause lifting or lifting upon heat treatment or treatment under high-humidity conditions particularly even in the case of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having a reduced layer thickness, and has excellent durability. A pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and a process for producing the same are also provided. Further, an optical member with pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and an image display using the same are provided. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is characterized by comprising 100 parts by weight of an (meth)acrylic polymer and 0.02 to 2 parts by weight of a peroxide, and 0.02 to 2 parts by weight of an isocyanate crosslinking agent, the (meth)acrylic polymer comprising as monomer units 50 to 98% by weight of an (meth)acrylic monomer represented by general formula CH2═C(R1)COOR2, wherein R1 represents hydrogen or a methyl group and R2 represents an alkyl group having 2 to 14 carbon atoms, and 0.1 to 35% by weight of a nitrogen-containing monomer.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a pressure sensitive adhesive composition for an optical member, which is excellent in coating property because of low viscosity, can reduce an amount of an organic solvent used, and can form a pressure sensitive adhesive layer excellent in durability and having high surface uniformity. The present invention relates to a pressure sensitive adhesive composition for an optical member, which comprises a (meth)acrylic polymer, a C6 to C9 hydrocarbon-based solvent (A), and a high-boiling highly solubilizing solvent (B) having a boiling point higher than that of the above hydrocarbon-based solvent and having a higher ability to solubilize the (meth)acrylic polymer than that of the above hydrocarbon-based solvent, wherein a content of the hydrocarbon-based solvent (A) is 20 to 60 wt % based on the total amount of the solvents, and a ratio of the content (wt %) of the hydrocarbon-based solvent (A) to the content (wt %) of the high-boiling highly solubilizing solvent (B) (high-boiling highly solubilizing solvent (B)/hydrocarbon-based solvent (A)) is 0.05 to 4.

    摘要: There is provided an optical member having an optical material and a tacky layer provided on at least one surface of the optical material. The tacky layer has an initial adhesive force of not smaller than 400 g per 25 mm based on 90° peeling from a resin substrate and has an adhesive force of not larger than 1000 g per 25 mm after heating at 70° C. for 5 hours. There is also provided a cell substrate made of a resin substrate. The resin substrate has an initial adhesive force of not smaller than 400 g per 25 mm on based on 90° peeling from the tacky layer provided on the optical material and having an adhesive force of not larger than 1000 g per 25 mm after heating at 70° C. for 5 hours. And there is provided a liquid-crystal display in which the optical member is adhesively bonded through the tacky layer of the optical member to the surface of a liquid-crystal cell formed by used of the cell substrate.
