摘要: Various types of air cleaning devices for cleaning air fed to a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle are described. These air cleaning devices are arranged to incorporate with a cowl top structure of the vehicle. In one type, an air filter is disposed in an external air introduction passage led to the passenger compartment, and when the air filter is blocked with arrested dusts, a bypass passage is established to keep the feeding of atmospheric air to the passenger compartment. In a modified type, the bypass passage is instantly blocked and an internal air circulation mode is established. In one type, an electrostatic air collecting unit is used for arresting very fine particles in the atmospheric air fed to the passenger compartment. In order to achieve a smoothed air flow in the electrostatic air collecting unit, smoothly curved air guide passages are defined between positive and negative electrode plates. In one type, two hood ridge reinforcing hollowed structures are used for feeding the air box and thus the passenger compartment with a satisfied amount of atmospheric air. In order to facilitate the maintenance of the air filter in the air box, an inspection aperture is provided in the cowl top. Usually, the inspection aperture is covered by a lid.

摘要: A sputtering process of a substrate biasing system and an apparatus for carrying out the same, capable of forming a film in satisfactory surface coverage over stepped underlying layer. The present invention solves problems in the quality of films formed by the conventional sputtering process of a substrate biasing system by regulating the bias potential of a substrate on which a film is to be formed so that the kinetic energy of ions of a sputtering gas falling on the substrate is varied periodically. The bias potential is regulated by periodically varying the amplitude of the output of a radio frequency (or dc) bias power supply or by changing the duty factor of a voltage pulse stream of the output of the radio frequency (or dc) bias power supply.

摘要: A zinc-nickel alloy is electrodeposited on a steel strip by passing the steel strip through a stream of sulfuric acid-containing plating solution which contains 2-3 mol/liter in total of Zn.sup.2+, Ni.sup.2+, H.sup.+, and SO.sub.4.sup.2- ions and at least 0.1 mol/liter of Na.sup.+, K.sup.+, or NH.sub.4.sup.+ ion at pH 1 to 2.5, feeding the solution at a flow speed of at least 1 m/sec., and applying electricity between the strip and an anode in the solution such that the current density between the strip and the anode at the outlet of the solution is lower than that at the inlet of the solution. The anode may preferably be divided into a plurality of segments. This process may be carried out by use of a radial or horizontal cell.

摘要: A spray-coating process which comprises spraying a rubber-asphalt anionic emulsion having a total solid content of 70% by weight or more and a 1-15% by weight aqueous solution of a polyvalent metal salt almost simultaneously by means of separate airless type spraying machines to continuously contact and mix said emulsion with said aqueous solution in the space between the spraying machine and the surface of a substrate to be coated and on the substrate surface, thereby forming a rubber-asphalt solid layer on the substrate surface. By this process, a rubber-asphalt solid layer having a thickness of 4 mm or more and having a water-proof, moisture-proof or gas-proof characteristics can be formed rapidly on the substrate surface.

摘要: It is an object of the present invention to shorten a time required until phases of output signals being output from two output terminals are inverted respectively from a start time of an oscillation in a differential oscillation apparatus. In a differential oscillation apparatus according to the present invention which includes a differential oscillator portion 103 having an external input terminal at a terminal of one transistor 105 and a switch circuit 104, a first control signal generation circuit 101 for generating a first control signal to control an oscillation start and an oscillation stop of the differential oscillator portion 103, and a second control signal generation circuit 102 for generating a second control signal input into the terminal of one transistor 105 of the differential oscillator portion 103, when a phase relationship between collector currents flowing through two transistors 105, 106 is decided by the second control signal, output signals being output from two output terminals are opposite in phase from a start time of an oscillation.
