    摘要: A sensor for detecting a carbonic acid gas dissolved in body fluids has a laminated structure including an outer plate having a carbonic acid gas permeable window, a plate for a pH-electrode having a pH sensitive membrane, an intermediate plate having a cavity for accommodating an electrolyte, and a plate for a reference electrode. The plate for the pH-electrode is constituted in a manner that a pH sensitive membrane constituted by a membrane of an oxide of a platinum group metal is formed on an insulating substrate and the electrolyte contacts with the pH sensitive membrane in a groove. The pH sensitive membrane is disposed so as to oppose to the carbonic acid gas permeable window.

    摘要: A liquid chromatograph comprises an analyzing chip in which a capillary is formed in a substrate and a detector section is disposed downstream of the capillary. The capillary is covered so that an inlet opening end and an outlet opening end of said capillary flow path is opened. A frame member has a sample introduction path, a carrier liquid introduction path and a liquid discharge path. The analyzing chip is movably disposed in the frame member so that the inlet opening end and the outlet opening end of the capillary are selectively in communication with and/or under interruption against said sample introduction path, the carrier liquid introduction path and the liquid discharge path. The liquid chromatograph is very small in size but is easy to handle. Incidentally, there is disclosed also a sample introduction apparatus and method for the chromatograph, and an FET type detector suitable for the chromatograph.

    摘要: An autosampler consists of a needle to draw specimen from a specimen container into a passage therein; a block having a passage that follows the passge in the needle; a suction mechanism for drawing in the specimen by suction through the passages in the needle and the block; a discharge mechanism for discarding the specimen drawn in by the suction mechanism; and a detecting device for detecting air bubble in the specimen, the detecting device being embedded in the block in such a manner as to face the passage in the block. The detecting device detects the air bubbles in the specimen according to changes in physical or chemical properties of the specimen passing through the passage in the block. The discharge mechanism is activated by the detecting device to discharge air-mixed specimen. When even a small amount of air is drawn into the passage from the specimen container, in which only a small amount of specimen is contained, the air specimen can reliably be distinguished from normal specimen by this autosampler. Therefore the reliability of the system using the autosampler can be significantly improved.

    摘要: A full-size image sensor includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements formed on a substrate and arranged into a line. A photosensitive surface of each of the photoelectric conversion elements is perpendicular to a document to be scanned. A transparent layer is formed on the substrate so as to cover the photoelectric conversion elements. A light reflecting layer made of a light interrupting member is formed on the transparent layer so as to prevent light emitted from a light source from being directly projected onto the photoelectric conversion elements. The light emitted from the light source is reflected on the document and then projected onto the photoelectric conversion elements directly or after being reflected by the light reflecting layer.

    摘要: An ECL transistor pair is connected in parallel with a third transistor. A complementary signal is applied to the transistor pair. A high level of a signal that is applied to the third transistor is effectively higher than a high level of the input to the pair of transistors; and a low level of the signal applied to the third transistor is effectively lower than the high level of the input to the pair of transistors. The low level input to the third transistor enables the ECL circuit to output the complementary input signal and assures high speed ECL operation. The high level of the input to the third transistor disables the ECL circuit from outputting the complementary input signal.
