Abstract: Technologies are generally described for fabricating a self-writing waveguide. Two photo-reactive liquid monomers, each infused with a photo-initiator, may be mixed and dissolved in a carrier solvent to form a mixture. Nanoparticles may be added to the mixture to form a gel. A focused light beam may be provided to cure one of the monomers, initiating polymerization to form a core of the self-writing waveguide. An optional exposure to an optical source, a heat source, or an electron beam source may cure the other monomer, initiating polymerization to form a cladding of the self-writing waveguide. The self-writing waveguide may be formed in a substantially tubular structure or a planar film structure.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that are effective to generate an alarm for a vehicle. The methods include receiving, by a device, a first sensor value from a first sensor for the vehicle. The methods further include receiving, by the device, a second sensor value from a second sensor for the vehicle. The methods further include retrieving, by the device, an instruction from a memory disposed in the vehicle while the memory is in a write-protected mode. The methods further include evaluating, by the device, the first sensor value and the second sensor value based on the instruction. The methods further include determining, by the device, that the first sensor value is outside a range associated with the first sensor based on the evaluation. The methods further include transforming, by the device, the determination into an alarm.

In an example, a processor may receive a first rendered object from a first device and may further store the first rendered object in a memory. The first rendered object may be based on object data and may include first attribute data of the object data. The processor may further receive a request from a second device to generate the scene image. The scene image may include an object image of a second rendered object that may be based on the object data and may include second attribute data of the object data. The processor may further compare the second attribute data with the first attribute data to determine a match value. The processor may further determine whether to select the stored first rendered object to generate a scene image based on the match value.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described herein for accelerating a cache state transfer in a multicore processor. The multicore processor may include first, second, and third tiles. The multicore processor may initiate migration of a thread executing on the first core at the first tile from the first tile to the second tile. The multicore processor may determine block addresses of blocks to be transferred from a first cache at the first tile to a second cache at the second tile, and identify that a directory at the third tile corresponds to the block addresses. The multicore processor may update the directory to reflect that the second cache shares the blocks. The multicore processor may transfer the blocks from the first cache in the first tile to the second cache in the second tile effective to complete the migration of the thread from the first tile to the second tile.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein to manage the replacement of routing rules. Some example technologies may receive a request to replace one or more active rules in a routing device with one or more stored rules. Each of the active rules and the stored rules may specify a routing rule that specifies how to route packets within a network. The active rules may be routing rules that are actively being used by the routing device. The stored rules may be routing rules that are not currently in use by the routing device. A determination may be made as to whether a number of active rule replacements for the routing device exceeds a threshold. In response to determining that the number of the active rule replacements exceeds the threshold, the request to replace the one or more active rules in the routing device may be denied.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for a memory system that may be a solid-state drive (SDD). The memory system may include memory blocks, where each memory block may have multiple memory pages, and each memory page may have multiple memory cells. The memory cells may have multiple programmed states. In various examples, a method to control the memory system may include determining one or more memory pages to be analyzed, identifying read threshold voltages of each memory cell associated with the memory pages to be analyzed, performing statistical analysis on the identified read threshold voltages, and determining a distribution of the read threshold voltages based at least in part on the statistical analysis.
