摘要: A weather resistant road light comprises a top cover and a ballast mounting surface disposed on a top surface of the top cover. The ballast mounting surface defines a ballast compartment lower surface. At least one wire aperture seat is disposed on the ballast mounting surface. A ballast is mounted to the at least one wire aperture seat. Wires from the ballast pass through the wire aperture seat. A ballast compartment cover covers the ballast compartment. The ballast compartment cover fits over the top of the ballast mounting surface disposed on the top cover. At least one securing member secures the ballast to the ballast mounting surface. A bottom tray mates with the top cover, and the bottom tray has a lens opening. A reflector assembly has a socket for receiving a bulb. The reflector assembly is mounted on the bottom tray.

摘要: A ballast with multilateral lead wires is provided for supplying a power for fluorescent lamps. The ballast comprises a lid and a longitudinal container for containing a ballast circuit for processing an input power and generating a lamp power supply to one or more of the lamps. The circuit includes an input connector mounted on an edge of the circuit for receiving input power wires and an output connector mounted on the opposite edge of the circuit from the input connector for connecting one or more sets of output lead wires. The lid is tightly fastened over the container and has two opposite edgewise basins with access openings for the wires to the input and output connectors.

摘要: The present invention provides an actuation device having a shape memory alloy component that comprises: a base having a bottom portion, at least one first magnetic component disposed under said bottom portion of base, a carrier having a top portion, at least one second magnetic component which is disposed on said top portion of carrier and which corresponds in location to said first magnetic component, and a shape memory alloy component which is disposed between said base and said carrier. Said shape memory alloy component has at least one deformable supporting component, which is disposed at a position corresponding to both positions of said first magnetic component and of said second magnetic component, for supporting said carrier. Said supporting component is in a horizontal form between said base and said carrier since there is a magnetic force between said first magnetic component and said second magnetic component. As the driving force resulting from a martensitic phase transformation in said shape memory alloy component becomes greater than the magnetic force between said first magnetic component and said second magnetic component, said supporting component is deformed and pushes said carrier upwardly. Thus, said carrier is actuated in an upward direction.

摘要: Automatic clinging leads of an electric device are provided for an unassisted mounting on thru-holes of a printed circuit board. Each of the leads of the device has three continuous right-angled sections including a longitudinal proximal end section extending from the terminal region of the electric element, a latitudinal distal end section extending at right angle with respect to the proximal end section, and a bent midsection for connecting the proximal and distal end sections at the diametrically opposite right angle to the angle between the proximal and distal end sections to provide a generally laterally extending lead with three alternating bends between the three sections. The device leads can be inserted into the thru-holes of the circuit board through a 90-degree swivel motion that causes a secure flush cling of the leads and in turn a low profile mounting of the device onto the circuit board around thru-holes.

摘要: Technology presented in the following utility patent yields a significant innovation within the field of electrical lighting. An alternative configuration of the filter inductor, which serves as part of a passive power factor correction circuit, increases the overall efficiency of fluorescent ballast. The core of the inductor is essentially comprised of a vertically positioned, laminated silicon steel stack within the electronic ballast housing. The vertical orientation allows for a significant reduction in the height and width of the ballast housing, thus creating more effective use of space. Furthermore, each individual laminated silicon steel plate's outside corner angles assume a crescent moon shape. This unique structure serves to provide additional space for the ballast's input lead wires by forming total three (3) of long narrow channels. In order to balance any offset in magnetic flux density caused by the crescent moon shape, the two alternate interior angles of the sheet are arc-shaped.

摘要: A method of fabricating a thyristor-based memory may include forming different opposite conductivity-type regions in silicon for defining a thyristor and an access device in series relationship. An activation anneal may activate dopants previously implanted for the different regions. A damaging implant of germanium or xenon or argon may be directed into select regions of the silicon including at least one p-n junction region for the access device and the thyristor. A re-crystallization anneal may then be performed to re-crystallize at least some of the damaged lattice structure resulting from the damaging implant. The re-crystallization anneal may use a temperature less than that of the previous activation anneal.
