The plurality of heat pipes absorb heat from the gases at the first temperature and pass the heat into the gases at the second temperature to form gases at a third temperature.

A method of modulation of synthesis capacity on and cleavage properties of synthetic oligomers from solid support is described. The method utilizes linker molecules attached to a solid surface and co-coupling agents that have similar reactivities to the coupling compounds with the surface functional groups. The preferred linker molecules provide an increased density of polymers and more resistance to cleavage from the support surface. The method is particularly useful for synthesis of oligonucleotides, oligonucleotides microarrays, peptides, and peptide microarrays. The stable linkers are also coupled to anchor molecules for synthesis of DNA oligonucleotides using on support purification, eliminating time-consuming chromatography and metal cation presence. Oligonucleotides thus obtained can be directly used for mass analysis, DNA amplification and ligation, hybridization, and many other applications.

Bi-directional stable communication between the main station and the intelligent electric meters and collection of electrical energy information and the adjustment of parameters of electric meters can be realized by transmission medium in the present invention. The system of the present invention features complete functions, stable user-friendly operation interface, and has good expansion potential. A novel method for fabricating polymer, e.g., polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS),-coated dip-pen nanolithographic (DPN) stamp tips. This kind of tip adsorbed chemicals (“inks”) easily and was used to generate DPN nanopatterns which were imaged with the same tip after DPN process. This method built a bridge between micro-contact printing (μCP) and DPN, making it possible for one to easily generate smaller structures of any molecules which have been patterned by the μCP technique. The easy tip-coating and writing process enriches the state-of-the-art DPN technique. The sub-100 nm DPN resolution obtained by using this kind of novel tip is comparable to that with a conventional Si3N4 probe tip. Importantly, the unique stamp tip was able to transfer solvent (e.g., liquid “ink”) onto a substrate, resulting in fabrication of hollow nanostructures with only one DPN holding/writing step. Inks comprising metals and sol-gel materials are noted, as well as applications in photomask repair, enhancement, and fabrication.
