摘要: An instant beverage powder with non-polymer catechins contained at high concentration has improved flavor and taste owing to reductions in bitterness and astringency, and also provides improved flavor and taste and improved stability in external appearance after reconstituted into a beverage. The instant beverage powder contains the following ingredients (A) and (B): (A) from 0.5 to 20.0 wt % of a purified product of green tea extract, said purified product being obtained by purifying the green tea extract in a mixed solution of ethanol and water at a weight ratio of from 99/1 to 75/25, and (B) from 0.01 to 10.0 wt % of a hydroxycarboxylic acid or a lactone, or a salt thereof. The content of non-polymer catechins in the instant beverage powder is from 0.5 to 15.0 wt %.

摘要: A semiconductor device fabrication method and a semiconductor layer formation method for making a semiconductor layer having excellent morphology selectively epitaxial-grow over a semiconductor, and a semiconductor device. When a recessed source/drain pMOSFET is fabricated, a gate electrode is formed over a Si substrate in which STIs are formed with a gate insulating film therebetween (step S1). After a side wall is formed (step S2), recesses are formed in portions of the Si substrate on both sides of the side wall (step S3). A SiGe layer including a lower layer portion and an upper layer portion is formed in the recesses of the Si substrate. The lower layer portion and the upper layer portion included in the SiGe layer are made to epitaxial-grow under a condition that growth selectivity of the lower layer portion with respect to the side wall and the STIs is lower than growth selectivity of the upper layer portion with respect to the side wall and the STIs (steps S4 and S5). As a result, the SiGe layer the growth selectivity of which with respect to the side wall and the like is secured and in which morphological deterioration is suppressed can be formed in the recesses of the Si substrate.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes LED heads protected from scratching. An optical head is mounted on an inner side of a lid pivotally mounted to a body of the apparatus. A protector is mounted to the lid. A mechanism is operatively coupled to the lid such that when the lid is positioned at an open position, the protector is at a protection position where the protector covers a light-emitting surface of the optical head and when the lid is positioned at a closed position, the protector is at an exposure position where the protector does not cover the light-emitting surface of the optical head. When the lid is pivoted from the closed position to a position at which the lid forms an angle with the body, the mechanism begins to cause the protector to move from the exposure position toward the protection position.

摘要: A wafer W is held in a horizontal attitude within an airtight container 41 by a vacuum chuck 42 such that small gaps are formed between the wafer W and the inner surfaces of the airtight container 41. A cleaning liquid is supplied toward the center portion of a front surface of the wafer W through a fluid supply port 40 which is an end of a fluid supply path 5, and is discharged through a fluid discharge portion 44 arranged in the bottom portion of the airtight container 41 in a form of a groove running along a circle having its center located on the center axis of the wafer W. The cleaning liquid flows and spreads from the center portion of the wafer W toward the peripheral portion while removing particles adhered to the wafer W, and is discharged through the fluid discharge portion 44. This arrangement allows the particles to be uniformly and reliably removed without rotating the wafer W. The entire cleaning apparatus 4 has a small size.

摘要: When the surface temperature of a heating roller exceeds a predetermined temperature, bearings that rotatably support the heating roller melt. Thus, a pressuring roller causes the heating roller to move toward a temperature detecting device. Thus, the heating roller comes in contact with the temperature detecting device. Consequently, when a defect takes place, the warm-up time after the temperature detecting device works until the power to the heater is shut off can be reduced. In addition or in the alternative, an electrode plate has edges electrically contacting and connecting the heater in the heating roller and a power supply. As the heating roller moves, electrical contact between the heater and the electrode plate is broken and the power from the power supply to the heater is disconnected. As a result, an electrophotographic printing apparatus can be prevented from getting defective, thereby improving the reliability thereof.
