    摘要： A virtual ground type semiconductor memory device comprises: a memory cell array in which nonvolatile memory cells each including a first electrode, a pair of second electrodes, and a charge retention part are arranged in row and column directions like a matrix; a read circuit for selecting a pair of the first and second bit lines connected to a selected memory cell to be read, applying first and second read voltages to the selected first and second bit lines, respectively, and detecting a magnitude of a memory cell current flowing in the selected memory cell, at the time of reading; a voltage applying means for applying the second read voltage to a second adjacent bit line adjacent to the selected second bit line on the opposite side of the first bit line; and a short-circuit means for short-circuiting the selected second bit line and the second adjacent bit line.

The header information includes: reproduction time control information such as a PTS indicative of a time of reproducing the partial audio information, to which first lead data among the lead data included in the information unit together with the header information belongs; forward position information such as a forward search pointer indicative of a position on the information recording medium, at which the compressed audio information to be reproduced a first predetermined time duration after a reproduction time indicated by the reproduction time control information on a reproduction time axis of the compressed audio information is recorded; and backward position information such as a backward search pointer indicative of a position on the information recording medium, at which the compressed audio information to be reproduced a second predetermined time duration before the reproduction time on the reproduction time axis is recorded.

    摘要： On an information recording medium such as a DVD audio, record information is recorded. The record information comprises a plurality of information units each including header information and divided-compressed audio information obtained by dividing compressed audio information so as to include one or a plurality of lead data positioned at a lead of compressed partial audio information. The compressed partial audio information is generated by variable-length-compressing partial audio information obtained by dividing raw audio information and by multiplexing it with compression control information. The compressed audio information is generated by arranging the compressed partial audio information in an order of reproduction. The compression control information includes first control information to control an inputting and outputting operation of the compressed partial audio information with respect to a first buffer, which is used when reproducing the compressed audio information. The header information includes second control information to control an inputting and outputting operation of the divided-compressed audio information with respect to a second buffer, which is used when reproducing the compressed audio information.

    摘要： In order to provide technical information necessary for the production of L-phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) by utilizing genetic engineering techniques, the structural gene for PAL and the amino acid sequence of PAL have been elucidated in Rhodosporidium toruloides, and novel recombinant DNA plasmids (e.g., pSW101, pYtrp6 and pKY201) have been created by inserting a DNA strand coding for the PAL gene between the 3′-terminus of the promoter region and the 5′-terminus of the terminator region. Moreover, transformants having such a novel recombinant DNA plasmid have been created, and a process for the production of PAL by growing such a novel transformant so as to cause PAL to be produced and accumulated in the culture has been established. Furthermore, there has been established a novel technique for the production of L-phenylalanine by reacting an ammonia donor with cinnamic acid in the presence of the PAL prepared by the aforesaid novel process.
