    摘要: A data storage device, data write method, and program to avoid extra power consumption and suppress a write error that may result from voltage variations. To write data onto a magnetic disk, a write circuit generates a write current that is to be supplied to a write head. The write circuit operates on a positive power supply voltage provided by a host computer, and on a negative power supply voltage generated by a programmable DC—DC converter mounted on a hard disk drive's card. The magnitude of the negative power supply voltage generated by the programmable DC—DC converter is varied in accordance with the temperature surrounding the magnetic disk. Further, the magnitude of the negative power supply voltage generated by the programmable DC—DC converter is varied in accordance with the magnitude of the positive power supply voltage supplied from the host computer.

    摘要: A thermal transfer recording medium includes a sheet-like base member and a hot-melt ink layer containing a colorant and a hot-melt material. The hot-melt ink layer contains a hot-melt material having a melting point Tm of 70.degree. to 90.degree. C., a complex elastic modulus of 10.sup.6 Pa to 10.sup.7 Pa at 100.degree. C., and a pour point Tp of 150.degree. C. or more, the hot-melt ink layer is in an amorphous or microcrystalline state and satisfies condition I/I.sub.0 .ltoreq.0.9 where I is the diffraction peak intensity in a range of 21.3.degree. to 21.5.degree. originated from an ethylene-based crystal and measured by an x-ray diffraction method, and I0 is the halo intensity in a range of 16.degree. to 17.degree. originated from an amorphous part, or the hot-melt ink layer contains a low-melting point crystalline material having a specific acid value and a specific saponification value and 15 to 30 wt % of a specific copolymer resin whose ethylene content is 65 to 80 wt % and a melt index of 60 or less.

    摘要: In manufacturing a high-density ITO sputtering target by press-molding a powder mixture consisting essentially of indium oxide and tin oxide is compacted and the resulting compact is sintered. The sintering is performed in an atmosphere of oxygen under a pressure of at least one atmosphere (gauge pressure). The present invention offers very advantageous effects from the industrial viewpoint in that it permits mass production of high-performance, high-density ITO targets at low cost using mass productivity.
