摘要: To provide a translucent structure having a low haze factor and low sparkle. The translucent structure has an uneven structure at the surface thereof, wherein the uneven structure includes first convex portions 5a, of which the diameters at a height of the bearing height+0.05 μm of the surface shape (a), obtainable by measuring the uneven structure by a laser microscope, are at least 1 μm, and in an image (c) in which a plurality of convex portions are scattered, obtained by filtering the surface shape (a) by image processing software to obtain a smoothing image (b), and subtracting XYZ data of the smoothing image (b) from XYZ data of the surface shape (a), said plurality of convex portions include second convex portions 5b, of which the diameters at a height of 0.01 μm when the bearing height is deemed to be 0, are at least 0.4 μm, the density of the second convex portions is from 0.023 to 7.210 units/μm2, and the proportion of the total area in cross-section at a height of 0.01 μm of the second convex portions 5b is from 0.900 to 90.000%.

摘要: A cover article is described herein that includes: a substrate having a primary surface; an optical structure disposed on the primary surface, wherein the optical structure comprises an optical coating and a scratch resistant layer, and wherein the optical coating has an outer surface; and an easy-to-clean (ETC) coating disposed on the outer surface of the optical coating, wherein the ETC coating comprises a fluorine-containing material. The outer surface of the optical coating has a surface roughness (Ra) less than 1.5 nm. The optical structure has a physical thickness of greater than or equal to 500 nm and a maximum hardness of 10 GPa or greater, as measured on the outer surface of the optical coating by a Berkovich Indenter Test along an indentation depth of 50 nm or greater. The scratch resistant layer has a physical thickness from 200 nm to 5000 nm.

摘要: An electronic device may have a display with an array of pixels configured to display images for a user. The electronic device may have an ambient light sensor for gathering ambient light information. Control circuitry in the electronic device may adjust the brightness level of an image being displayed by the display based on ambient light measurements from the ambient light sensor. The ambient light sensor may be formed from an ambient light sensor module that is aligned with an opening in an opaque masking layer in the display. One or more antireflection layers may be interposed between an inwardly facing surface of the display and an opposing external surface of the ambient light sensor module. The ambient light sensor module may have a light attenuator and other optical structures.

摘要: An optical system includes an image surface, an aperture stop, a first and a second quarter-wave plate, a partial reflector, a reflective polarizer, a first and a second optical lens element. The image surface and the aperture stop are respectively at a front side and a rear side of the optical system. The first quarter-wave plate is between the image surface and the aperture stop. The partial reflector between the first quarter-wave plate and the aperture stop has an average light reflectivity of 35%. The second quarter-wave plate is between the partial reflector and the aperture stop. The reflective polarizer is between the second quarter-wave plate and the aperture stop. The first optical lens element between the image surface and the aperture stop has a convex front-side surface. The second optical lens element between the first optical lens element and the aperture stop has a concave rear-side surface.

摘要: A contrast-amplifying carrier for observing a sample, includes a transparent substrate bearing at least one absorbent coating suitable for behaving as an antireflection coating when it is illuminated at normal incidence at an illumination wavelength λ through the substrate and when the face of the coating opposite the substrate is in contact with a medium referred to as a transparent ambient medium, the refractive index n3 of which is lower than that of the refractive index n0 of the substrate. The absorbent coating comprises: an absorbent sublayer referred to as the contrast sublayer, deposited on the surface of the transparent substrate; and an absorbent layer referred to as the sensitive layer, distinct from the contrast sublayer and comprising between 1 and 5 sheets of a graphene-type material. Methods for producing and for using such a contrast-amplifying carrier are also provided.

摘要: A system for use in imaging in the air, including: an image source, a transflective mirror and a retroreflective element. Light emitted by the image source is irradiated onto the retroreflective element after being reflected by the transflective mirror, the light is reflected on the retroreflective element and emerges in an opposite direction along an original incident path, and after being transmitted by the transflective mirror, then forms a real image. A selective transmissive film is provided on a side of the transflective mirror facing the image source, and a phase delay optical element is provided on a side of the retroreflective element facing the transflective mirror such that first linearly polarized light incident on the retroreflective element from the transflective mirror becomes circularly polarized light after passing through the phase delay optical element.
