    摘要: A fiber-laser-based implementation of a Gigahertz source through difference frequency generation (DFG) by nonlinear optical (NLO) materials is compact, tunable and scalable. A pair of pulsed fiber lasers, preferably single-frequency, generate output pulses at frequencies ω1 and ω2 that overlap temporally. A beam combiner combines the laser outputs and routes the combined output to a GHz generator head where a nonlinear interaction process in the NLO material generates GHz radiation.

    摘要: A framework and method to integrate a Search Service in an IM environment is provided. A Search Service is represented by one or more buddies or contacts of an IM user. An IM user performs inline search by adding a buddy representing a Search Service to a new or existing IM conversation, and inputting search query as a normal IM message. The Search Service sends the search results back as a regular IM message to all parties participating in the IM conversation. A Search Service implements and runs persistently one or more IM client simulators (SEIMCS) according to the communication and application protocol of an IM system. The Search Service defines one or more universally unique identifiers (UUIDs), registers one or more IM members with the UUIDs to an IM service. It logs in the defined IM members to the IM system and publishes these IM members. The framework allows a Search Service to work with any IM service, and an IM service can support any Search Service, wherein the Search Services and the IM services are operated independently. Neither IM client software nor IM system needs to be changed. No special indicators, prefix of IM message, search button or other actions need to be defined for performing search in an IM environment.

    摘要: The invention involves a papilloma pseudovirus that can induce immune response after oral intake as well as its preparation. It is characterized in that HPV or BPV pseudovirus are made by disrupting HPV-VLP or BPV-VLP, mixing them with plasmids (plasmids or DNA vaccine), and reassembling them into the pseudoviruses (VLPs with plasmids inside). Oral administration of the pseudoviruses will result in delivery to mucosal and systemic lymphoid tissues and induce immune responses for disease prevention and treatment. The pseudovirus induces stronger immune response than DNA vaccines. Additionally, the pseudovirus can be applied in gene therapy by bringing the therapeutic genes into lymphoid tissues in the human body.

The cups can be co-axial with respect to one another, for example. A machined surface of the substrate can enhance reflectivity of the LED assembly. A transparent and/or non-global solder mask can enhance reflectivity of the LED assembly. A transparent ring can enhance reflectivity of the LED assembly. By enhancing reflectivity of the LED assembly, the brightness of the LED assembly can be increased. Brighter LED assemblies can be used in applications such as flashlights, displays, and general illumination.
