Abstract:
A solid lubricating coating formed on a contact surface of a threaded joint for pipes has a matrix of a lubricating oil-containing polymer. The lubricating oil-containing polymer has either a uniform composition or a gradient composition in which the concentration of lubricating oil decreases towards the contact surface and in which there is substantially no lubricating oil in the vicinity of the contact surface.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a surface treated oil well pipe comprising performing chemical conversion treatment on an oil well pipe having a steel composition containing 0.5-13% Cr using a chemical conversion treatment liquid containing zinc and phosphoric acid or manganese and phosphoric acid and further containing potassium tetraborate to form a chemical conversion film of a zinc-phosphate type or a manganese phosphate type, wherein the chemical conversion treatment is carried out in the absence of fluoride ions.
Abstract:
In a threaded joint for pipes constituted by a pin and a box, each having a contact surface comprising a threaded portion and an unthreaded metal contact portion, the contact surface of the pin has a solid corrosion protective, preferably transparent coating based on a UV-curable resin and the contact surface of the box has a solid lubricating coating having plastic or viscoplastic rheological behavior which is preferably formed by the hot melt technique from a composition comprising a thermoplastic polymer, a wax, a metal soap, a corrosion inhibitor, a water-insoluble liquid resin, and a solid lubricant.
Abstract:
A lubricating coating which is free from harmful heavy metals is formed on a premium threaded joint for pipes constituted by a pin and a box each having a contact surface comprising a threaded portion and an unthreaded metal contact portion (a sealing surface and shoulder) in order to provide the joint with galling resistance, gas-tightness, and anticorrosive properties such that the unthreaded metal contact portion is prevented from yielding even when the joint is made up with a high torque. The lubricating coating comprises one or both of a rosin and calcium fluoride; metal soap; wax; and a basic metal salt of an aromatic organic acid, and preferably it further includes a lubricating powder, magnesium carbonate, and/or a carbohydrate, particularly a cyclodextrin.
Abstract:
An lithium aluminum complex hydroxide salt (LAHS) and a process for preparation thereof is provided. The LAHS is represented by the formula;(Al.sub.2 Li(OH).sub.6).sub.n X, mH.sub.2 Owherein X is an inorganic or organic anion, n is a value number of X, and m is a number of not more than 3, and having an orientation degree (OD) of not less than 10, OD being defined by the formula;OD=I.sub.(002) /I.sub.(110)wherein I.sub.(002) is a relative intensity of a peak in X-ray diffraction pattern with an index of a plane (002) appearing at a spacing (d) of 7.67 .ANG. to 7.84 .ANG. and I.sub.(110) is a relative intensity of a peak in X-ray pattern with an index of a plane (110) appearing at a spacing (d) of 4.41 .ANG. to 4.45 .ANG.. This LAHS is useful for a stabilizer for chlorine-containing polymers or olefin-type resins containing halogen-containing catalyst residues.
Abstract:
A stabilizer for resin, which is composed of a lithium aluminum complex hydroxide salt represented by the following formula[Al.sub.2 Li(OH).sub.6 ].sub.n X.mH.sub.2 O (1)wherein X is an inorganic or organic anion, n is a valence number of anion X, and m is a number of not more than 3.A chlorine-containing polymer composition comprising a chlorine-containing polymer and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the chlorine-containing polymer, of the above stabilizer. There is also provided an olefin-type resin composition comprising an olefin-type resin containing halogen-containing catalyst residues and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the olefin-type resin, of the above stabilizer. The stabilizer has excellent heat stabilizing action.
Abstract:
A jig has a main body. The main body is provided with a rotatable engaging shaft. The engaging shaft is provided with a main body fixing portion actuator and a workpiece clamping portion actuator. The main body fixing portion actuator is provided with a main body fixing portion drivable by the main body fixing portion actuator. The workpiece clamping portion actuator is provided with a workpiece clamping portion drivable forward and backward by the workpiece clamping portion actuator. When the engaging shaft is rotated, attachment and detachment of the main body and clamping of a workpiece can be performed.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an abrasion-resistant granular zeolite formed from a mixture of a synthetic zeolite and a clay binder, said granular zeolite comprising a core composed of a synthetic zeolite clay binder mixture containing the synthetic zeolite at a content higher than the average synthetic zeolite content in the granular zeolite and a shell composed of a synthetic zeolite-clay binder mixture containing the clay binder at a content higher than the average clay binder content in the granular zeolite. This granular zeolite is excellent in both the zeolitic characteristics such as adsorbability and ion exchange capacity and the mechanical strength characteristics such as abrasion resistance and compression strength.
Abstract:
A recording system records a television video signal of 60 fields per second converted from a signal of the picture image content of a cinematographic film for projection at 24 film frames per second, in a manner such that the video signal has parts in each of which the picture image content of one and the same film frame continues during at least 4 fields thereof, along a spiral track on a rotating recording medium rotating at a rotational speed of 900 revolutions per second at a recording rate of 4 fields per revolution of the recording medium. The rotating recording medium thus recorded has a part on which the picture image content of one and the same film frame is recorded over a part of a length of the track corresponding to at least one revolution of the recording mediu
Abstract:
A reproducing stylus traces a track of a recording medium, in which track an information signal is recorded as variations of geometrical shape, and reproduces as variations in capacitance the information signal thus recorded. The reproducing stylus comprises a reproducing stylus main structure having a tip part with a flat sliding contact face for slidingly contacting at least one track of the recording medium at a time, and an electrode secured to the reproducing stylus main structure at the tip part thereof and adapted to trace one track and reproduce the information signal as the variations in capacitance in accordance with the variations in geometrical shape. The electrode has over a specific distance over the tip part of the stylus main structure from the extreme tip thereof, a width in the width direction of the track which is less than the width of the track. The extreme tip of the electrode has a flat or linear tip end contacting the track.
