    摘要: A method is provided for coupling a plurality of access nodes wirelessly to a plurality of access terminals. The method includes dividing up a carrier frequency into a plurality of subbands; scheduling one or more access terminals to share one of the plurality of subbands; and via one of the plurality of access nodes, first communicating with the one or more access terminals over the one of the plurality of subbands. The communicating includes, within the one of the plurality of subbands, time division multiplexing interlaces corresponding to each of the one or more access terminals.

The first transmitter is configured to transmit first power control bit information to the base station over a reverse link. The first transmitter has a timeline manager, configured to transmit the first power control bit information at a first rate according to a first pattern within a frame. The first receiver is configured to receive second power control bit information from the another communication device over a forward link. The first receiver has an adaptive controller, configured to determine the first rate and the first pattern. The first rate and the first pattern are selected from a plurality of rates and patterns available for transmission of the first power control bit information and the second power control bit information.

    摘要: An access node wirelessly coupled to a plurality of access terminals, having a subband scheduler, a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplex elements, and a plurality of antennas. The subband scheduler receives precoded data, and schedules transmission of a preamble signal and a plurality of data streams. The plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplex elements converts the preamble signal and the plurality of data streams into a corresponding preamble tone and a corresponding plurality of data tones. The preamble tone indicates a mapping of the plurality of data tones to one or more of the plurality of access terminals. The plurality of antennas transmits the corresponding preamble tone and the corresponding plurality of data tones in timely fashion for receipt by the plurality of access terminals. The corresponding preamble tone and the corresponding data tones are transmitted over subbands of a code division multiple access (CDMA)-based carrier frequency.

PAPR is reduced by modulating a data stream into a plurality of symbols, dividing the plurality of symbols into symbol groups, applying a Fourier transform to each of the symbol groups, applying a delay to at least one of the transformed symbol groups, and calculating a peak to average power ratio of the symbol groups.

    摘要: A method and a system for radio network environment detection and reporting in a network handover and a media independent handover (MIH) apparatus are provided. The method includes the following: an MIH function (MIHF) at a terminal side initiates a network scan, and generates a parameter report on a radio network environment around the terminal including dynamic information and static information of a scanned point of access (PoA) after the scan is completed; the MIHF at the terminal side sends the parameter report on the radio network environment to an upper layer at the terminal side or to an MIHF at a network side. The method and system support homogeneous and heterogeneous network environments at the same time.

In the mobile communication device, a wireless module performs wireless transmissions and receptions to and from a service network. Also, a controller module transmits an access probe to the service network via the wireless module, and retransmits the access probe in response to not receiving an acknowledgement of the access probe from the service network via the wireless module in a waiting period of time. The waiting period of time is determined according to a coherence-time related offset.
