    摘要: Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device (organic EL device) that utilizes phosphorescence and is improved in luminous efficiency and fully secured of driving stability. The organic EL device comprises an anode, an organic layer containing a hole-transporting layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transporting layer, and a cathode piled one upon another on a substrate while the hole-transporting layer is disposed between the light-emitting layer and the anode and the electron-transporting layer is disposed between the light-emitting layer and the cathode. The light-emitting layer comprises an aluminum heterocomplex or dimeric complex of deuterated substituted or unsubstituted 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline (Me8HQ-D) in which the hydrogen atoms in the methyl group of substituted or unsubstituted 2-methyl-8-hydroxyquinoline (Me8HQ) are deuterated as a host material and an organic metal complex containing at least one metal selected from groups 7 to 11 of the periodic table as a guest material.

    摘要: A battery pack for a power tool of self-contained over-charge protection is proposed. The battery pack includes a battery stack composed of a plurality of series connected secondary cells, and a charge terminal connected through a charge current path to the battery stack for flowing a charge current from a charger. The battery pack includes an interrupter inserted in the charge current path, and an over-charge detector which detects a cell voltage across each of the secondary cells and actuates the interrupter to open the charge current path when any one of the cell voltages becomes higher than a predetermined threshold (VTH3). Thus, even if the charger fails to limit the charge current, the battery pack can itself protect the secondary cells from being over-charged.

    摘要: An open drain output circuit for use as an I2C bus interface. The open drain output circuit includes an output terminal. An input unit performs a first operation causing the potential at the output node to steeply fall and a second operation for gradually raising the potential in accordance with transition of an input signal. An output transistor connected to the output node of the input unit and the output terminal is turned OFF in the first operation and turned ON in the second operation. A delay time adjustment circuit reduces the difference between a delay time from transition of the input signal until when the output transistor is turned OFF in the first operation and a delay time from transition of the input signal until when the output transistor is turned ON in the second operation.
