Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, establishing a Layer 2 multipoint virtual private network (VPN) among a plurality of sites connected via a switched, shared or dedicated ethernet provided by a service provider, where the plurality of sites correspond to multiple locations of a target enterprise, determining a count of the plurality of sites that requires a connection to one or more cloud service providers over a common backbone network of the service provider, generating a VLAN that conforms to a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), assigning a block of IP addresses to a network of the target enterprise, based on the determined count, assigning two or more subnets having IP addresses of both IPv4 and IPV6 address families with respect to the VLAN, and connecting the plurality of sites to the one or more cloud service providers. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments enable seamless Wi-Fi roaming by providing a user with a single username that is associated with a set of resources in the seamless network that includes different Wi-Fi networks (e.g., Wi-Fi networks with different domain names). As a user travels from a first access point in a first Wi-Fi network to a second access point in a second Wi-Fi network within the seamless network, network elements in the seamless network may recognize the user's single username as an already established session (e.g., with the first access point) and direct traffic accordingly to the second access point. Embodiments also satisfy business requirements by updating accounting data accordingly by indicating that the user accessed the seamless network from the first Wi-Fi network. Embodiments allow a user roaming on the seamless network to experience the policies and network requirements associated with the Wi-Fi domain of the second access point.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for performing domain name system (DNS) support on public resolvers. For instance, an electronic device may send a query to a local DNS resolver. The electronic device may then receive an answer from the local DNS resolver that includes a pattern. Using the answer, the electronic device may generate a DNS packet that includes at least the answer and a query for a first Internet Protocol (IP) address associated with a first IP version, such as IPv6. The electronic device may then send the DNS packet to a public DNS resolver. Using the DNS packet, the public DNS resolver may generate a synthesized IP address associated with the first IP version. For example, the public DNS resolver may identify a second IP address associated with a second IP version, such as IPv4, and generate the synthesized IP address using the second IP address and the answer.

Abstract: A system for distributed domain name address resolution, including top-level domain name address resolution, and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the system, a blockchain stores distributed domain names with respective Internet Protocol address information. Abstract: A server computer includes a network communications interface, a memory configured to store a web page having an IP address, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive, via the network communications interface, a request for the web page. The request includes the IP address. The processor is also configured to identify a set of domain names referenced by the web page; resolve the set of domain names into a set of IP addresses; and transmit, in response to the request for the web page and via the network communications interface, a content and format of the web page. The system includes an in-band communication channel connecting a first party and a second party, and one or more out-of-band communication channels connecting the first party and the second party. The first party performs messaging for the DNS services with the second party using the in-band communication channel. Abstract: A distributed resource may be mapped into a virtual network, where the resource is distributed across a large number of nodes that are uniquely addressable within the distributed resource service's address space. The resource can be represented using a relatively small number of private VIP addresses within the virtual network, while still enabling access to all of the nodes that are uniquely addressable within the address space of the distributed resource service. A resource map may be created that relates the distributed resource service's address space to the virtual network's address space. The resource map may be used by a gateway that facilitates access to a distributed resource by clients. The resource map may also be used to translate packets that are sent from clients within a virtual network into the distributed resource service's address space.
