Abstract: A vehicle brake control device includes an electric motor controlled based on a target energization amount calculated based on an operation amount (Bpa) of a braking operation member. Based on the operation amount (Bpa), it is determined whether or not an inertia compensation control for compensating for the influence of the inertia of a brake actuator is necessary. When the inertia compensation control is determined to be necessary, an inertia compensation energization amount for compensating for the influence of the inertia of the brake actuator is calculated based on a time-series pattern set in advance based on the maximum response of the brake actuator. Based on the inertia compensation energization amount, the target energization amount is calculated. The vehicle brake control device is thus able to generate a braking torque that appropriately compensates for the influence of the inertia of the entire device including the inertia of the electric motor.

Abstract: A method for detecting fluid leakage from a pressure-decrease valve in a hydraulic brake system having an ABS device including: a shutoff valve for shutting off supply of a working fluid from a fluid-pressure supply source to a brake device provided for a wheel; the pressure-decrease valve for discharging the working fluid from the brake device; a reservoir for storing the working fluid discharged from the pressure-decrease valve; and a return pump for returning the working fluid stored in the reservoir to a portion between the shutoff valve and the fluid-pressure supply source, the method including the steps of: activating the return pump in a state in which the hydraulic brake system is not in ABS operation, and detecting the fluid leakage from the pressure-decrease valve based on a variation in a pressure of the working fluid in the fluid-pressure supply source caused when the return pump is activated.

Abstract: A vehicular braking device can shorten the time between pilot pressure input to a regulator and generation of servo pressure, and reduce product-by-product time variations for servo pressure generation. This vehicular braking device comprises: a servo pressure rising start time measurement unit that measures, in advance, a servo pressure rising start time which is the time from pilot pressure input to a first pilot chamber by opening a pressure increase valve to when a servo pressure starts to rise, and stores the servo pressure rising start time in a storage unit; a pilot pressure increase time calculation unit that calculates a pilot pressure increase time based on the servo pressure rising start time stored in advance in the storage unit; and a pre-fill control unit that increases the pilot pressure for the pilot pressure increase time by opening the pressure increase valve when brake pedal operation is detected.

Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry calculates a target torque such that the greater the amount of brake operation is, the smaller the target torque becomes. The processing circuitry controls the drive motor such that the creep torque is smaller when brake operation is being performed by the driver than when the brake operation is not being performed by the driver. The control circuitry controls the brake device such that, when the brake operation is being performed by the driver, the brake torque approaches a target brake torque. The processing circuitry sets a decrease gradient of the creep torque to be smaller than a decrease gradient of the target torque when the brake operation amount is increased under a condition in which the creep torque is being output by the drive motor.

Abstract: In the case of this brake control device, for example, a drive control unit is capable of executing, in a switching manner, drive control of a motor based on an operation amount and drive control of the motor based on a stored value in a storage unit. The drive control unit continues the drive control of the motor based on the operation amount until the operation amount reaches a state satisfying a predetermined convergence condition while the drive control of the motor based on the operation amount is being executed. The storage unit stores a parameter value, which is obtained in the state in which the operation amount satisfies the predetermined convergence condition, into the storage unit as the stored value.

The target position setting unit sets the target position so a change in the target position with the time passage becomes smaller than that in the case where it is determined that the actual position follows the target position, when it is determined by the determining unit that the actual position does not follow the target position.
