    摘要: A data processing unit selects either one of a base station mode and a terminal mode so as to perform communications using packet signals. The base station mode is a mode in which a packet signal, containing data indicating that an initial source and a final destination are not its own radio apparatus, is to be communicated; the terminal mode is a mode in which a packet signal, containing data indicating that the initial source or the final destination is its own radio apparatus, is to be communicated. A control unit starts the radio apparatus by setting the data processing unit in the terminal mode. When a packet signal, which has been transmitted from another radio apparatus and which contains broadcast information, has not been received before a certain period of time elapses after the start, the control unit switches the mode of the data processing unit to the base station mode.

    摘要: A side airbag device for a side collision is provided in which a first bag half body (20) on an occupant side and a second bag half body (21) on a door side are formed by sandwiching a third base fabric (19) between a first base fabric (17) on the occupant side and a second base fabric (18) on the door side, and gas supplied from an inflator (22) to the second bag half body (21) is supplied to the first bag half body (20) via a through hole (19a) formed in an end part of the third base fabric (19) that is on the side distant from the inflator (22), and therefore, after the second bag half body (21) is firstly deployed to ensure that there is the minimum necessary occupant restraint performance, the first airbag half body (20) is deployed, thereby sufficiently enhancing occupant restraint performance. When the second airbag half body (21) is deployed, due to the thickness thereof in the vehicle width direction being small, smooth deployment is possible without interfering with the occupant, and subsequently when deployment of the first airbag half body (20) is completed it is possible to protect the occupant effectively by ensuring that the thickness in the vehicle width direction of the entire airbag (16) is sufficient.

    摘要: A radio unit transmits a packet signal. An acquiring unit acquires information about a traveling status of a vehicle. When the acquired information indicates a stop of the vehicle, an instructing unit allows the radio unit to stop transmitting the packet signal. A position detecting unit detects, based on positional information of the vehicle, whether the vehicle is present in a predetermined area. If the position detecting unit detects presence, the instructing unit allows the radio unit to continue transmitting the packet signal even when the information acquired by the acquiring unit indicates the stop of the vehicle.

    摘要: An air bag system for a vehicle including an air bag in a folded state and installed in a vehicle. The air bag is inflated and expanded by gas from an inflator, which introduces gas into the air bag. A vent hole is formed in at least one base fabric piece of the air bag so as to establish a communication path between an inside and an outside of the air bag through which gas may be discharged from the inside toward the outside of the air bag. A blocking member is supported on the base fabric piece to block up the vent hole. A guide portion is provided to slidably support the blocking member and to restrict the position of the blocking member relative to the vent hole. A sliding resistance increasing portion is provided on at least either one of the guide portion and the blocking member, so as to increase a sliding resistance between the guide portion and the blocking member when the blocking member slides.
