摘要: A vehicle lamp has a light source and a lens that is arranged on a front side of the light source. The lens deflects and irradiates light from the light source toward a front side of the vehicle lamp. A front side surface of the lens includes a first freely formed curve surface, and an irradiation angle, with respect to the optical axis, of the light to be irradiated from the front side surface is set as a target irradiation angle at each point of the front side surface. A rear side surface of the lens includes a second freely formed curve surface formed by continuous surface elements, each having an inclination angle that realizes a light irradiation by the target irradiation angle set at respective points of the front side surface.

摘要: A vehicular lamp that decreases the amount of light blocked by the extension towards the inside of the vehicle and increases the diffused light radiated toward the outside of the vehicle. The vehicular lamp 100 has a projection lens 33, a light source 27, a reflector 29 having a reflecting surface 29a in which the light source 27 acts as an approximate focal point and light from this light source 27 is reflected toward the projection lens 33, a container-shaped body 21, and a cover 23 that along with the body 21 forms a light chamber. The cover 23 has a horizontal cross-section that is slanted with respect to an imaginary line 25 in the transverse direction of the vehicle, and the projection lens 33 has a rear side focal point f, the thickness of the lens 33 decreasing from the center portion toward the outer peripheral portions, and on the outer peripheral portions, a vehicular inside edge portion projects more toward the front side of the vehicle than the vehicular outside edge portion.

摘要: There are provided microorganisms having a property of producing a lipid containing unsaturated fatty acids as constituent fatty acids and extracellularly secreting the produced lipid encapsulated in lipid vesicles, methods of screening said microorganisms, as well as methods of efficiently producing a fatty acid-containing lipid using said microorganisms. Furthermore, there are provided lipid vesicles encapsulating a lipid containing unsaturated fatty acids, and foods, cosmetics, and animal feeds comprising said lipid vesicles added thereto. Artificially treated microorganisms or microorganisms collected from nature are grown on a solid medium, and microbial strains that form lipid vesicles at the periphery of the colonies and/or microbial strains that, when cultured in a transparent liquid medium, make the culture liquid cloudy are selected. The microorganisms obtained are cultured, lipid-containing lipid vesicles secreted in the culture liquid, are separated from the culture liquid, and the lipid is separated and purified.

摘要: There is described a semiconductor device which includes in a single chip a high withstanding voltage transistor and a low withstanding voltage transistor and which imparts each of the transistors with a relevant threshold voltage and a characteristic suitable for retarding hot carriers. Specifically, an impurity profile is imparted to a lightly-doped extension (LDDEX) region formed across a channel region of a low withstanding voltage NMOS transistor, and a different impurity profile is imparted to an LDDEX region formed across a channel region of a high withstanding voltage NMOS transistor. These impurity profiles bring the threshold voltages of the MOS transistors to individual relevant voltages and retard hot carriers in the individual MOS transistors.

摘要: The present invention discloses a process for producing lipid containing omega-9 highly unsaturated fatty acid by culturing in a medium a mutant strain obtained by mutation on a microorganism having the ability to produce arachidonic acid belonging to the genus Mortierella and so forth, in which .DELTA.12 desaturation activity is decreased or lost, but at least one of .DELTA.5 desaturation activity, .DELTA.6 desaturation activity and chain length elongation activity is elevated. Moreover, the present invention also discloses a process for producing omega-9 highly unsaturated fatty acid by collecting omega-9 highly unsaturated fatty acid from the culture or lipid described above.

摘要: An image sensor includes a photoelectric conversion element, a first MOS transistor having having a gate connected to the photoelectric conversion element, a second MOS transistor connected in series with the first transistor, and a third MOS transistor connected in series with the photoelectric conversion element, wherein the threshold voltage of the third MOS transistor is set higher than that of the second MOS transistor. In one embodiment, each of the pixels included in a second group of rows includes a photoelectric conversion element but without the first, second and third MOS transistors. A fourth MOS transistor connects a photoelectric conversion element of the second group to a photoelectric conversion element of a first group, the photoelectric conversion elements of the first group being part of pixels which contain first, second and third MOS transistors.

摘要: A solid-state imaging device includes a semiconductor substrate in which an element part including a plurality of light responsive elements for generating charge carriers in response to incident light and a transfer part for transferring the charge carriers generated in each light responsive element are incorporated; a lens layer is disposed on the element part so that incident light is collected in the light responsive elements; and a light beam dispersion layer is disposed between the lens layer and the element part and includes two light transmissive layers having different refractive indices for dispersing light collected by the lens layer so that collected light entering respective light responsive elements is closer to a parallel beam than the incident light. By suppressing broadening of incident light in the semiconductor substrate at the light responsive elements, fewer charge carriers enter the CCD channel region and smear is reduced.
