    摘要: A bearing apparatus for a driving wheel of vehicle where the weight and size of the apparatus can be reduced and the durability can be improved with adopting plastic deformed connection between essential parts forming the apparatus. The bearing apparatus for a driving wheel of vehicle has a hub wheel, a constant velocity universal joint, and a double row rolling bearing which are assembled as a unit. One of the inner raceway surfaces is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the hub wheel. The other of the inner raceway surfaces is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the outer joint member. The hub wheel and the outer joint member are fitted with each other with one end surface being abutted against the shoulder of the outer joint member. The inner circumferential surface at the fitting portion of the hub wheel is formed with a hardened irregular portion. The hub wheel and the outer joint member are integrally connected via plastic deformation of the outer joint member. The hardened irregular portion bites into the outer circumferential surface at the fitting portion of the outer joint member by radially outwardly expanding the fitting portion of the outer joint member. The outer circumferential surface of the outer joint member is formed with a hardened layer at least at a region including the inner raceway surface and the shaft portion except for the fitting portion of the outer joint member.

    摘要: A tripod type constant velocity universal joint which includes an outer member having three axially extending track grooves formed in an inner circumferential surface thereof, each of the track grooves having roller guide surfaces on a pair of opposing side walls thereof, a tripod member having three radially projecting trunnions, and rollers rotatably carried on the trunnions, respectively, through a series of cylindrical rolling elements, the rollers being accommodated in the track grooves, respectively, so that the rollers are movable axially of the outer member with each said roller rolling along one of the opposing roller guide surfaces. The cylindrical rolling elements roll directly on an outer circumferential surface of the trunnion. Each said roller has an annular radial projection at each axial end thereof. The roller with the annular projections and a series of the rolling elements retained along an inner periphery of said roller form an independent assembly capable of preventing the rolling elements from dispersing prior to mounting the assembly on the trunnion.

    摘要: A shaft portion of a joint outer ring where projections extending in an axial direction are provided is press-fitted into a hole portion of a hub wheel to thereby form recesses by the projections in an inner diameter surface of a shaft fitting hole of the hub wheel, by which a recess-projection fitting structure is constructed. An entire area of fitting sites of the projections and the recesses are brought into close contact. Moreover, a bolt member is fastened in a bolt hole provided in the shaft portion of the joint outer ring after the construction of the recess-projection fitting structure, which restricts separation between the hub wheel and the joint outer ring. As the bolt member, if an outer diameter of a seating surface thereof is d1 and a shaft diameter is d2, a bolt member satisfying a relational expression of 2.3≦(d1/d2)2≦4.9 is used.
