摘要: A tracheostomy tube flange (13) of a liquid silicone material has openings (14) towards opposite ends for receiving ends of a neck strap. The openings (14) are reinforced with overmoulded inserts (137, 138) of a heat cured silicone material having a similar hardness to that of the flange material. The inserts (137, 138) have an outwardly-projecting ledge (144) between their ends.

摘要: A device to monitor movement of a tracheostomy tube is described. The device includes a faceplate that is releasably attached to a tracheostomy collar such that the faceplate may be used without the tracheostomy collar. The tracheostomy collar includes a sensor component and an actuator component each located proximate the faceplate. The actuator component actuates when the sensor component moves from a first position to a second position. The second position is further from the actuator component than the first position. The sensor component transmits a signal to an alarm assembly in response to the actuator component actuating. The alarm assembly produces an alert in response to receiving the signal from the sensor component.

摘要: The embodied invention is a new inspiration/expiration ventilator flow design, with a constant inspiration flow and intermittent-concurrent expiratory flow based on lung pressure setpoints. This mode is possible by using a new dual lumen tube inserted into a patient Trachea. Additionally, the control provides support for patient initiated breathing which is initiated by a lung pressure drop. This control provides continuous and gentle recruitment of lung alveoli.

摘要: An Endotracheal Intubation Assistance Apparatus (EIAA) and a method for operating said apparatus during oral intubation process are disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises: a Support Component having a Support Base at one end and a Button Component at another end. The Support Base is capable of being mounted upon an Endotracheal Tube that accommodates a stylet during an intubation process, and the Button Component is adapted to be manually depressed towards the tip of the Endotracheal Tube for thereby advancing the Endotracheal Tube until the Endotracheal Tube is disengaged from the stylet. The apparatus may have a Locking Component for fixating the stylet within the endotracheal tube.

摘要: A capnography system includes a CO2 sensing system having a CO2 sensor configured to measure a CO2 concentration in exhaled breath of a subject, a processor configured to derive one or more breath related parameters based on the measured CO2 concentration, and a communication unit. The capnography system includes a tubing system configured to allow flow of respiratory gasses therethrough. The tubing system includes a connector configured to connect the tubing system to the CO2 sensing system and a communication component configured to provide an indication of a type of the tubing system to the communication unit. The communication unit is configured to transfer data to the processor based on the indication obtained from the communication component, and the processor is configured to change or suggest a change of an operation mode of the CO2 sensing system based on the data.

摘要: The invention relates to a medical respiratory assistance apparatus for delivering a respiratory gas such as air, which may or may not be enriched with oxygen, to a patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), having a source (1) of respiratory gas, for example a micro-blower, for delivering a respiratory gas to said patient during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and means (4) for measuring the CO2 content, signal-processing and control means (5), and at least one graphical user interface (7). According to the invention, the signal-processing and control means (5) process the CO2 content measurement signals, to select the maximum CO2 content value (Vmax) during a given time period (dt), and to transmit this maximum value (Vmax) to the graphical user interface (7), which displays this maximum CO2 content value (Vmax).
