摘要:
Multimetallic anionic clays (MACs) are prepared using economical raw materials or reactants and a procedure for obtaining a series of multimetallic mixed oxides derived from the thermal decomposition of the MACs which comprises: (1) dissolving water-soluble bimetallic and/or trimetallic sources in water, (2) dispersing and homogenizing separate water-insoluble divalent and/or trivalent metal precursors with a high-speed stirrer in order to obtain small and reactive particles; depending on the nature of the water-insoluble divalent and/or trivalent metal precursors, this process can be adjusted to a desired pH, (3) adding the suspension obtained in (2) to solution (1) with the reaction medium still dispersed to facilitate solid particle's reduction/dissociation, and (4) afterwards the slurry is aged for several hours and finally dried. This process enables raw materials or reactants to be easily handled, and eliminates unit operations involving product washing and/or purification steps.

A multiple-metal complex-containing compound in accordance with an embodiment has a plurality of metal complexes in each of which a ligand is coordinated to one metal atom or a plurality of metal atoms of the same kind. The plurality of metal complexes are bound to each other via a polydentate ligand that substitutes partially the ligands of the two or more metal complexes, and have 2 to 1000 metal atoms.

Anionic clay compounds such as hydrotalcite-like compounds can be made by a process wherein a non-hydrotalcite-like compound (or a hydrotalcite-like compound) are heat treated and then hydrated to form hydrotalcite-like compounds having properties (e.g., increased hardness and/or density) that differ from those of hydrotalcite-like compounds made by prior art methods wherein non-hydrotalcite-like compounds (or hydrotalcite-like compounds) are not similarly heat treated and hydrated to form such hydrotalcite-like compounds.

Disclosed is a method for providing photochemical activity by coating a nano-layer of metallic oxide with nano-sized micropores on the particles or film of titanium dioxide (TiO2). The method for coating the nano-layer of porous oxides with hyperfine nano-sized pores on titanium dioxide (TiO2), comprising producing the solution containing metallic salts, providing the solution of metallic salts with TiO2 powder, hydrating the metallic salts and coating the hydrates on the TiO2 powder surface, and forming oxides from the hydrates coated on the TiO2 powder surface. The formed porous oxide coating layer increases the absorption capacity of water or dye molecules by increasing the specific surface area of titanium dioxide (TiO2) particles, thereby improving a photocatalyst characteristic or dye-sensitized fuel cell characteristic of TiO2.

A method is described for the manufacture of hydrotalcites by using at least one compound of a bivalent metal (Component A) and at least one compound of a trivalent metal (Component B), wherein at least one of these components is not used in the form of a solution, characterized in that a) at least one of the Components A and/or B which is not used in the form of a solution, shortly before or during mixing of the components, and/or b) the mixture containing the Components A and B is subjected to intensive grinding until an average particle size (D50) in the range of approx. 0.1 to 5 nullm is obtained, and optionally, after aging treatment or hydrothermal treatment, the resulting hydrotalcite product is separated, dried, and optionally calcinated. The hydrotalcite precursors and/or fine-particle crystalline hydrotalcites which can be obtained by using the method in accordance with this present invention may be used in particular as catalysts or catalyst carriers or as nanocomposite filling agents or co-stabilizers in a polymer matrix.

The present invention is to solve the problems caused by a conventional method for producing a zinc chloride-loaded support wherein zinc chloride is adsorbed on a solid support in an aqueous solution of zinc chloride. The problems include environmental destruction caused by the treatment of a used aqueous solution of zinc chloride, corrosion to a reactor, a threat to health for workers, deterioration of zinc chloride due to deliquescence thereof, and reduction of specific surface area.

The present invention relates to thermally stable, high surface area alumina supports and a method of preparing such supports with at least one modifying agent. The method includes adding an aluminum modifying agent to the alumina prior to calcining. The inventive support has thermal stability at temperatures above 800null C. A more specific embodiment of the invention is a catalyst having a high surface area, thermally stable alumina support with at least one group VIII metal or rhenium and an optional promoter loaded onto the support. The present invention further relates to gas-to-liquids conversion processes, more specifically for producing C5null hydrocarbons.

The invention pertains to new catalyst systems for polycondensation reactions, for example for producing polyethylene terephthalate. In accordance with the invention, complex compounds with hydrotalcite-analogous structures of general formula nullM(II)1nullxM(III)x(OH)2nullxnull(Annullx/n).mH2O are used, wherein M(II) represents divalent metals, preferably Mg or Zn or NI or Cu or Fe(II) or Co, and M(III) represents trivalent metals, for example Al or Fe(III), and A represents anions, preferably carbonates or borates. These catalysts can be calcinated and can be used in combination with phosphorus compounds that contain at least one hydrolyzable phosphorus-oxygen bond.
