摘要: The presently disclosure describes a motion assistance system for a wheelchair, for example, a powered drive wheel system that can continually drive a wheelchair in a circular or elliptical path. The motion assistance system comprises a mounting mechanism attachable to one or more structural elements of the wheelchair, and a drive linkage pivotable with respect to the mounting mechanism. A drive wheel can be mounted to an end of the drive linkage such that the drive wheel contacts the ground when installed on the wheelchair. The drive wheel comprises a plurality of lateral rollers positioned radially about the circumference of the power drive wheel. The lateral rollers can rotate about an axis tangential to the circumference of the drive wheel in order to facilitate driving the wheelchair in a radial direction.

摘要: An article movement system includes an article and at least one ball wheel. The article has first and second article surfaces meeting at a first article edge. The ball wheel is located along the first article edge and includes a ball, a bearing arrangement and a shell. The ball engages a surface underlying the article, the bearing arrangement supports the ball for omni-directional rotational movement, and the shell is located along the first article edge and contains the ball and the bearing arrangement. The shell defines a non-circular ball opening through which a portion of the ball extends to contact the underlying surface. The article, the bearing arrangement and the shell are configured such that the ball wheel is able to support the article for omni-directional rolling motion over the underlying surface with either of the first and article surfaces parallel thereto, and at any orientation therebetween.

摘要: Concepts of an omnidirectional pinion wheel are described. In one embodiment, the wheel includes first and second rims each including inner and outer rim surfaces, and an annular ring of rollers affixed on the outer surface of one of the first and second annular rim. Using an axis of freedom of the rollers, the wheel can move sideways in addition to forward and backward. Further, when used with a vertical rack gear, the wheel can provide vertical displacement by engagement between teeth of the gear and the pinion ring. Additionally, various racks and tracks with teeth for pinion ring engagement are described along with an example vehicle capable of vertical displacement using the wheels.

摘要: In a frictional propulsion device comprising a main wheel including a plurality of driven rollers rotatably supported by an annular core member about a tangential direction and a pair of drive disk each carrying a plurality of drive rollers about a rotational center line at an angle with respect to both a tangential line of the drive disk and the rotational center line of the drive disk such that the drive rollers at least partly engage the driven rollers, a diameter of a drive side contact circle is smaller than a diameter of a driven side contact circle, and the drive disks are vertically offset relative to the main wheel so that only those drive rollers adjoining the main wheel are in contact with the driven rollers. Thereby, the power efficiency of the device can be improved while minimizing the manufacturing cost and the weight of the device.

The control system comprising methodologies configured to control the power of the one or more inner-motorized omniwheel trucks by using a hand held wireless control device, the hand held wireless control device including one or more motion control buttons and toggle switches or by using a wireless phone device, the wireless phone device including one or more motion control buttons and toggle switches configured to transmit and to receive information associated with the operation of the inner-motorized omniwheel trucks.

摘要: The yoke module is including wherein an elongated USB power cable, one or more yoke module sections accommodating access for the USB power cable and wire connectors to be threaded through one or more slotted openings and to exit out the top yoke module section, a first connection method to connect with the drive motor's lead cable harness directly to the USB power cable, a method to conceal and protect the drive motor's lead cable harness and the USB power cable by means of a coupling enclosure and yoke sleeve enclosure achieved through the yoke module's fabrication process. The yoke module also comprises a method for USB power cable to provide electricity power to drive a motorized wheel. The yoke module system comprises a second connection method for the yoke module to plug into auxiliary components including; a battery, a computer control system, and sensors for motion stability.
