摘要: A chemical polishing bath for polishing a part made of aluminum or of aluminum alloy, or a portion of such a part, which bath includes an oxidizing agent capable of attacking the aluminum, chosen from nitric acid, hydrogen peroxide, permanganate, or a mixture thereof, at a concentration between 1.2 and 3.0 mol/L. The polishing bath also includes a fluoride complexing agent capable of forming a complex with the oxidized aluminum, at a concentration between 0.3 and 1.6 mol/L; a catalyst (Cu); and phosphoric acid at a concentration between 10.10 and 14.30 mol/L and also sulfuric acid at a concentration between 1.50 and 3.60 mol/L. The bath is particularly suitable for polishing parts resulting from additive manufacturing (3D printing).

摘要: A method for preparing an anti-bacterial anodic oxide film on the surface of aluminum materials, comprising pretreatment, polishing, anodic oxidation, dyeing and sealing, wherein the surface of polished aluminum materials is smooth but has undulating waves and holes; in the dyeing after oxidation, a nano-sized dye is filled in the undulating waves and holes on the surface of aluminum materials, so if nano-silver is uniformly mixed in the dye in the process, the dye on the surface of aluminum materials will contain nano-silver finally and it will protect nano-silver from wearing during use; the dye-filled waves on the surface of aluminum materials are sealed via a sealing process finally, i.e., the dye is sealed in the surface of aluminum materials; at last, the surface of aluminum materials can be turned into desired colored patterns according to actual needs, and the nano-silver provides the anodic oxide film with anti-bacterial effect.

摘要: A chemical mechanical polishing composition for polishing a substrate having a tungsten layer includes a water based liquid carrier and colloidal silica abrasive particles dispersed in the liquid carrier. The colloidal silica abrasive particles have a permanent positive charge of at least 6 mV. About 30 percent or more of the colloidal silica abrasive particles include three or more aggregated primary particles.

摘要: A process for making an aluminum alloy lighting sheet product having a reflective surface protected by a UV-stable polymer coating. An aluminum alloy sheet is chemically brightened in an aqueous acidic solution, conversion coated, and then coated with a UV-stable polymer. Alternatively, an aluminum alloy sheet is chemically etched in an aqueous alkaline solution, conversion coated, and then coated with a UV-stable polymer. The UV-stable polymer may be clear or it may contain about 0.5-10 wt. % amorphous silica particles and polytetrafluoroethylene particles. In another embodiment, an aluminum alloy sheet surface is cleaned, chemically conversion coated and then coated with a coating composition containing a UV-stable polymer and 0.5-10 wt. % silica particles and polytetrafluoroethylene particles, both having an average size of about 0.5-5 microns.

摘要: This invention teaches the development of a chemical reagent useful as an aluminum brightening bath. The reagent's composition is primarily wet-process phosphoric acid to which has been added small quantities of nitric acid, copper, and optionally traces of several other substances. The reagent does not require expensive removal of the natural impurities found in wet-process phosphoric acid.
