    Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid sample preparation device such as a disposable, collapsible, flexible polymeric bag containing an adsorptive curtain of a functionalized shaped polymeric fiber bed for the direct capture of biomolecules from liquid samples. The functionalized shaped polymeric fiber bed includes fibrillated, ridged or winged-shaped fiber structures that significantly increases the surface area of the fiber resulting in enhanced separation, retention and/or purification of liquid samples containing biomolecules of interest as the liquid samples contact the adsorptive curtain of functionalized shaped fibers. Liquid samples include unclarified liquid feeds or other liquids containing one or more biomolecules of interest, including, but not limited to vaccines, recombinant proteins, cells, stem cells, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), proteins, antibody, peptides, oligopeptides, nucleic acids, oligonucleotides, RNA, DNA, oligosaccharides and polysaccharides.

    Abstract: Redundant filtration system that includes at least one barrier filter as a process filter, the barrier filter having both hydrophilic and hydrophobic paths, allowing both fluid and gas permeability. The need for vents is eliminated, as is an intermediate drain filter. The device also can be dried in series. The filtration system includes a network of conduits and receptacles, the network receiving liquid raw and/or starting material at one end, conducting it through the process stream defined thereby, and producing the desired liquid product at another end. The network is provided with one or more in-puts for introducing liquid raw material into the fluid process stream, and one or more output ports for discharging fluid out of the fluid process stream. The network is preferably an essentially closed network, and also, preferably sterile and/or aseptic.

    Abstract: The present invention is a disposable, presterilized bioreactor formed of molded plastic, having a top and body attached to each other. One or more ports are formed in the top, side and bottom of the housing. The one or more ports that are below the liquid/air interface level may be used as sampling ports, access ports for probes or drains or supply ports for liquids or gases. The bioreactor provides a direct retrofit for the existing glass or steel assembly that utilizes the existing support structures and controls.     Abstract: A multi-well assembly including a filter plate and receiver plate. Each plate includes a plurality of wells, which, when the filter plate is placed in nesting relationship with the receiver plate, each filter plate well has a corresponding receiver plate well into which it extends.
