摘要: A vehicle integrated control system includes an external disturbance load compensator. The external disturbance load compensator executes a program including: a step of sensing a vehicle state; a step of sensing environmental information on the surroundings of the vehicle; a step of performing an external disturbance load calculation; a step of determining whether or not to permit an external disturbance load change based on the environmental information; when it is expected that the vehicle is about to move based on the environmental information, a step of suspending an external disturbance load change; when it is expected that the state of the vehicle does not change based on the environmental information, a step of calculating distribution ratio of a braking force to the main control system (brake) so as to cancel an engine torque change by the external disturbance load change.

摘要: A method and apparatus capable of displaying a high-quality image using a reversible image display medium in which a cell(s) formed between two substrates accommodates at least two kinds of frictionally chargeable dry developing particles having different chargeable polarities and different optical reflection densities in image display, an electric field strength of, e.g., 0.3 V/μm to 3.0 V/μm is applied to the developer. An oscillating force (e.g. oscillating magnetic filed) is applicable and the oscillating force is substantially stopped during application of the electrostatic field. After completion of the electrostatic field, the surface of the medium on the image observation side may be charged to a potential holding the displayed image. Optionally, before image display, an alternating electric field may be applied to stir the developer for initialization of the medium.

摘要: An image forming apparatus is provided which forms images on both a concavo-convex sheet having a concavo-convex surface on which is formed many concavities capable of receiving toner and from which toner can be removed, and a general-purpose sheet which is not specially processed. The image forming apparatus has a first mode for forming an image on a general-purpose sheet, and a second mode for forming an image on a concavo-convex sheet. In the first mode, a general-purpose sheet receives a transferred toner image in the image forming region, and thereafter is guided to a fixing unit, where the toner is fixed on the sheet. In the second mode, a concavo-convex sheet receives a transferred toner image in the image forming region, and thereafter does not pass through the fixing unit but is guided to a convexity cleaning unit, where toner adhered to the convexities of the concavo-convex sheet during transfer is removed.

摘要: A method for chemical-mechanical polishing of a layer that is deposited on a surface of an integrated circuit substrate is described. The method includes: (1) immobilizing the integrated circuit substrate using a substrate holder such that the integrated circuit substrate surface is positioned against a surface of a polishing pad, which is mounted on a supporting surface; (2) a first stage of polishing the substrate surface including maintaining a predetermined difference between the rotational velocity of the polishing pad and the rotational velocity of the substrate holder allowing an endpoint of the chemical-mechanical polishing process of the layer to be detected; and (3) a second stage of polishing the substrate such that the rotational velocity of the polishing pad and the rotational velocity of the substrate holder are substantially the same to produce a substantially planar substrate surface.

摘要: When, in devices of various types, a plurality of cartridges 3 and 5 are inserted into prescribed positions of a main device body with a prescribed sequence and a prescribed insertion path formed with guides 16 and 17, the cartridge 5 that is next to be inserted into the main device body 1 is inserted into its prescribed position in main device body 1 by guidance or accompanied by guidance from a guide section 51 provided on cartridge 3 that is previously inserted into its prescribed position in main device body 1. By means of this construction, it is made easy for the operator to notice incorrect insertion where there are a plurality of cartridges and correct cartridge insertion is facilitated.

摘要: The accelerator opening degree detection apparatus of the present invention includes: an accelerator pedal position sensor for detecting a position of an accelerator pedal; and a calculating section for calculating an accelerator opening degree based on an output of the accelerator pedal position sensor. The calculating section performs at least the following steps of: obtaining a signal PDLAD by smoothing the output of the accelerator pedal position sensor with a first smoothing coefficient; obtaining a signal PDLSM by smoothing the output of the accelerator pedal position sensor with a second smoothing coefficient which is larger than the first smoothing coefficient; storing a reference value GPDL representing a reference position of the accelerator pedal position sensor; calculating an accelerator opening degree PDLA based on a difference between the signal PDLAD and the reference value GPDL; and updating the reference value GPDL based on the signal PDLSM if the accelerator opening degree PDLA satisfies a predetermined update condition.
