Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of constructing large stationary cylindrical tanks using novel means for butt-welding together the horizontal joints of the cylindrical side walls of the tank. The novel means are flexible connector seals adapted to fit between the joints, and flexible portions of the seals are welded to the adjacent inner vertical surfaces of the side walls. Flexible connector seals are also provided for welding the bottom perimeter of the tank to the bottom edge of the cylindrical side wall.
Abstract:
A retaining ring assembly. A retaining ring which is adapted to be positioned between a propellant cartridge of an aerosol dispenser, which cartridge has particles of propellant-adsorbent material therein, and a stem-obturating gasket of the dispenser has an annular cutting edge on the bottom thereof. The retaining ring is dipped in adhesive and pressed against a sheet of filter material so that the disc-shaped filter element thus cut out of the sheet is secured in the retaining ring. The retaining ring assembly is then assembled with the remainder of the dispenser.
Abstract:
A movable pressure vessel has an insulated wall portion for limiting the temperature rise of liquefied gas therewithin. A relief valve is provided for limiting the pressure within the vessel to establish a working pressure. The filling means of the vessel includes a relief valve for limiting the maximum pressure of the gas entering the vessel to a pressure of approximately 15 p.s.i.g. less than the working pressure of the vessel. Liquefied gas is loaded into the vessel at a maximum temperature and pressure as determined by the relief valve in the filling means, and temperature rise of the liquefied gas during transport is limited so that the pressure produced by the gas does not exceed the working pressure of the vessel. A vapor return means extends along the bottom of the vessel and opens therewithin at a point remote from the outlet means of the vessel and adjacent the front end of the vessel.
Abstract:
A sectional inner liner of a pressure vessel comprising the sectional inner liner and an outer layer disposed around the sectional inner liner, the sectional inner liner comprising: at least two inner liner sections, wherein each inner liner section comprises an internal network structure; and at least two cap sections, wherein, the at least two cap sections and at least two inner liner sections are configured to assemble into a sectional inner liner.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a cartridge for storing pressurized gas, including a main body with an internal volume for storing a gaseous mixture NO/N2, and a distribution valve for controlling the output of the gas. The internal volume of the main body is less than 1000 ml. The concentration of NO in the gaseous mixture NO/N2 is between 15000 and 25000 ppmv. The gas pressure in the internal volume is below 15 bar, measured at 23° C. Installation for delivering gas to a patient, including such a gas cartridge, a NO supply device fed by the gas cartridge, and a medical ventilator feeding a patient circuit which has an inhalation branch fed by the NO supply device. Use for treating patients suffering from pulmonary hypertension or hypoxia.
