Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling a driveline of a vehicle, the driveline being operable in a plurality of driveline operating modes, wherein the driveline is configured to assume a current driveline operating mode basing its operation on topology data from a positioning system, each driveline operating mode being associated with a predefined driveline operating condition, wherein the method comprises obtaining a signal indicative of a loss of topology data; and controlling the driveline to change from the current driveline operating mode to an updated driveline operating mode providing an increased operational capacity of the driveline compared to the current driveline operating mode.

The switching unit switches the driving state to the cooperative driving state when the operation amount is equal to or greater than an intervention threshold and less than a start threshold or the duration count is equal to or greater than a first threshold and less than a second threshold during the autonomous driving state, switches the driving state to the autonomous driving state when the operation amount is less than the intervention threshold or the duration count is less than the first threshold during the cooperative driving state, and switches the driving state to the manual driving state when the operation amount is equal to or greater than the start threshold or the duration count is equal to or greater than the second threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling an autonomous vehicle are provided. In one example embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes receiving data indicative of an operating mode of the vehicle, wherein the vehicle is configured to operate in a plurality of operating modes. The method includes determining one or more response characteristics of the vehicle based at least in part on the operating mode of the vehicle, each response characteristic indicating how the vehicle responds to a potential collision. The method includes controlling the vehicle based at least in part on the one or more response characteristics.

Abstract: Among other things, we describe techniques for estimating a speed profile for a proposed trajectory for a vehicle and operating the vehicle along the proposed trajectory according to the speed profile, including a method for: obtaining, by a planning circuit on a vehicle, a proposed trajectory for the vehicle in response to a driving scenario; obtaining, by the planning circuit, an estimated speed profile, and a confidence score, wherein the confidence score represents a similarity of the estimated speed profile to an actual speed profile that would be generated by a control circuit for the proposed trajectory; determining whether the confidence score meets a confidence threshold; and in accordance with a determination that the confidence score exceeds the confidence threshold, operating, by a control circuit on the vehicle, the vehicle along the proposed trajectory.

Abstract: A vehicle display control system according to the present disclosure includes an obstacle sensor, an environmental factor sensor, a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The obstacle sensor detects an obstacle around a vehicle. The environmental factor sensor detects an environmental factor that changes a detection range of the obstacle sensor with respect to the obstacle. The hardware processor is configured to: control a display device that converts a detection indication region falling within the detection range of the obstacle sensor with respect to the obstacle, into a detection indication image representing the detection indication region from a viewpoint of a driver of the vehicle, and superimposes and displays the detection indication image on a scene around the vehicle; correct the detection range in accordance with the environmental factor; and update the detection indication region in accordance with the detection range that has been corrected.
