摘要： A light-sensitive composition is provided comprising (a) an aromatic diazo compound and (b) a cationic dye/borate anion complex.In a preferred embodiment, the cationic dye/anionic borate dye complex is represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein D.sup.+ represents a cationic dye; and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be the same or different, each represents an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group, an unsubstituted or substituted aralkyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted alkenyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted alkynyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted alicyclic group, or an unsubstituted or substituted heterocyclic group.The aromatic diazo compound can be a nonionic diazo compound.The light-sensitive compound can further comprise a radical-polymerizable unsaturated compound.

摘要： A method of producing a polychromatic colored image with clear fine patterns, comprising the steps of:(a) contacting a light-sensitive colored resin layer, provided on a temporary support transmissive of ultraviolet rays with an adhesive layer provided on a permanent support;(b) imagewise exposing the light-sensitive colored resin layer to a pattern through the temporary support;(c) peeling the temporary support from the imagewise exposed resin layer;(d) developing the imagewise exposed colored resin layer to form a colored resin pattern on the adhesive layer;(e) embedding the colored resin pattern into the surface of the adhesive layer by applying pressure through a material having a surface energy lower than that of both the colored resin pattern and the adhesive layer;(f) contacting a light-sensitive resin layer of another image-forming material colored in a tint different from resin layers previously formed on the adhesive layer with the adhesive layer; and(g) repeating the exposure, development and embedding steps as described above; and(h) repeating these processes until the desired number of colored patterns are formed and embedded in the adhesive layer.

摘要： A light-sensitive image-forming material which has on a support a coloring layer comprising a coloring agent and an alkali soluble organic macromolecular binder, and a photopolymer layer, in the order listed, with the coloring layer further containing a particular fluorine-containing surface active agent, whereby uniform film thickness is ensured to the coloring layer even when drying is carried out in a short time using simple equipment. The fluorine-containing surface active agent is a copolymer comprising as repeating units (1) an acrylate or a methacrylate which has a fluorinated alphatic group containing from 3 to 20 carbon atoms and not less than 40 wt % of fluorine atoms, with the aliphatic group having a terminal moiety containing at least 3 fluorinated carbon atoms, and (2) a poly(oxyalkylene)acrylate or a poly(oxyalkylene)methacrylate. In addition, the portion of the fluorinated aliphatic group-containing acrylate or methacrylate repeating unit is from 10 to 70% by weight.

摘要： A process for preparing a color proofing sheet is disclosed. The process comprises imagewise exposing a light-sensitive image-forming material comprising a transparent support having provided thereon a dye- or pigment-containing light-sensitive photoresist composition layer or both a dye- or pigment-containing colorant layer and a light-sensitive photoresist composition layer through a color separation mask, developing the material to form a color separation image, transferring the color separation image onto a photopolymerizable image-receiving layer, transferring in registration at least one more color separation image onto the same image-receiving layer to obtain a multicolored color proofing sheet on a single support, and totally exposing the image-receiving layer after the image transfer in an amount sufficient to induce photopolymerization thereof. A color proofing sheet realizing color reproduction essentially the same as actual print copies and has a good image strength and non-tackiness can be obtained by the process.

摘要： A light-sensitive material having on a support a light-sensitive layer containing an o-quinonediazide compound as a main component and, additionally, a particular compound represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Z represents the nonmetallic atoms forming a 5-membered ring; X represents S, O, ##STR2## or .dbd.N--R.sub.c (where R.sub.a, R.sub.b and R.sub.c are each a hydrogen atom or an organic group other than a carboxylic acid group); and Y is a hydrogen atom or an organic group other than a carboxylic acid group, is disclosed. This material can provide both positive and negative working images having high resolution and good adhesiveness to the support. A process for producing positive working images includes the steps of imagewise exposure and development processing, while a process for producing negative working images includes the steps of imagewise exposure, heating, uniform (overall) exposure and development processing. The same conditions regarding imagewise exposure and development processing, respectively, can be applied to both processes.
