摘要: The invention produces a magnetic receptive polymer film with properties that will adhere to magnets by incorporating magnetic receptive particles in the formulation of the extruded or casted film. Furthermore, by use of the co-extrusion technique, the invention produce a print media in the form of a multilayered polymer film including a magnetic receptive core layer for adhering the film to magnets, and one or more layers attached to either one or both sides of the core layer, wherein at least one outermost surface of the layers is absent or substantially absent of ferromagnetic material and suitable to accept printing.

摘要: A printable recording media including a composite base substrate that contains, at least, two constituent material layers that are laminated together with a flame resistant adhesion layer containing an adhesive compound and up to 50% of a flame retardant agent by total weight of the flame resistant adhesion layer, wherein, at least, one of the constituent material layer is a fiber layer; and an image receiving layer that is coated on one side of the composite supporting substrate. Also disclosed are the method for making such printable recording media and the method for producing printed images on such printable recording media.

摘要: A printable recording media including a supporting base substrate having, on both supporting sides, pre-coating layers containing inorganic pigments and polymeric binders, and having, at least, one top ink-receiving layer, that includes inorganic pigments and water-dispersible polymeric binders having a glass transition temperature within the range of about 0° C. to about 35° C., over the pre-coating layer. Also described herein is a method for making the printable recording media, a method for forming printed articles and the obtained printed articles.

摘要: A multilayer laminate such as a label assembly having high opacity and desirable appearance characteristics is described. The laminate includes a facestock layer, an adhesive layer, and a liner layer. The facestock layer includes a print-receiving top coat layer that includes a combination of titanium dioxide and one or more optical brighteners. The combination of these materials avoids build up of static charges upon laser printing on the facestock.

The printable coating can include a base sheet defining a first surface and a second surface and a printable coating on the first surface of the base sheet. The base sheet can be constructed from a cellulosic nonwoven web and a saturant. The printable coating can include a plurality of inorganic microparticles and a crosslinked material, where the crosslinked material is formed from a crosslinkable polymeric binder and a crosslinking agent. An image can be formed on the printable substrate, such as by printing an ink composition onto the printable substrate (e.g., onto the printable coating).

A support for a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet according to the present invention includes a porous layer composed of a porous film, a first polyolefin resin layer, a substrate layer, and a second polyolefin resin layer that are layered in the order mentioned, in which the first polyolefin resin layer has a density of 0.93 g/cm3 or less; and the second polyolefin resin layer has a density of more than 0.93 g/cm3.

摘要: The invention describes a composition and method of providing an improved recording material, such as an ink receptive recording material or thermally responsive record material useful for linerless labels. The record material comprises a support having provided thereon on one surface an adhesive material, and on at least one other surface, an ink receptive coating or a heat sensitive imaging coating. The method comprises applying to a first surface a first layer of a coating of an ink receptive material or of a heat sensitive color-forming composition comprising a binder material and a substantially colorless dye precursor and an acidic developer material in substantially contiguous relationship. The adhesive is heat activated. The record material exhibits substantially no tack at 23° C., 40% relative humidity when pressure is applied, however develops high peel strength (300 grams/inch) upon application of 7 mJ/mm2 to 13 mJ/mm2 of heat energy.
