摘要: A method for assembling a wheel bearing apparatus includes disposing a positioning jig such that a lateral face of the positioning jig on one side in an axial direction contacts a lateral face of a hub flange on a side of a slinger, the positioning jig having a ring shape separated into a plurality of partial portions arranged in a circumferential direction, a width of the positioning jig in the axial direction being equal to a distance between a lateral face of a disc portion on a side of the hub flange and a lateral face of the hub flange on the side of the slinger, the distance being set to obtain an appropriate interference; and attaching the slinger such that the lateral face of the disc portion on the side of the hub flange contacts a lateral face of the positioning jig on another side in the axial direction.

摘要: A wheel braking apparatus includes components that inhibit the rotation of a wheel when a ball bearing is placed in a braking position between a bearing wall of a non-rotating component and a bearing barrier of a hub interface component that is at least resistively connected to a hub of the wheel. In response to a wireless signal, the ball bearing is moved from a non-braking position and allowed to travel to a braking position between a bearing barrier of one side of a bearing groove and the bearing wall of the non-rotating component.

摘要: A bearing device for a wheel has a bearing including an outer race having double-row outer raceway surfaces formed on an inner circumference thereof, a hub wheel and an inner race having double-row inner raceway surfaces formed on an outer circumference thereof so as to be opposed to the outer raceway surfaces, and double-row rolling elements interposed between the inner and outer raceway surfaces. The bearing has a constant velocity universal joint coupled thereto with a screw fastening structure by fitting a stem section of an outer joint member to a shaft hole of the hub wheel, in which the shaft hole of the hub wheel is formed by penetrating the hub wheel into a cylindrical shape over an axial direction of the hub wheel.

The strain generator members are formed of a single band-shaped strain generator body continuously joining the plurality of sensor units. The at least two fixation contact segments are arranged at the same axial positions and spaced from each other along a circumferential direction of an outer diametric surface of the stationary member. Load on the wheel support bearing assembly is estimated by an estimator based on output signals of the at least two sensors.

The bearing device includes a recess-projection fitting structure in which the hub wheel and a shaft section, which is fitted in a hole of the hub wheel of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, are unitized together. In the recess-projection fitting structure, entire fitting regions among projections on the outer surface of the shaft section of the outer joint member and recesses, which fit on the projections, are brought into intimate contact with each other.

摘要: A wheel support assembly for use with a vehicle is disclosed that comprises a vehicle mount coupleable to the vehicle, a recess formed in the vehicle mount, a bearing seated at least partially within the recess, an axle engaged with the bearing and extending away from the bearing, and a wheel supported by the axle. To inhibit the transfer of heat from the bearing to the wheel the bearing is in thermal communication with the vehicle mount and the wheel is spaced apart from the bearing along a longitudinal axis of the axle. The vehicle mount is configured as a heat sink such that a larger portion of the heat generated by the bearing is transferred to the heat sink as compared to the portion transferred to the axle.
