摘要: The present invention is directed to a suspension and to a wet powder of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and an organic solvent, wherein the concentration of the reduced graphene oxide in organic solvent is above 0.3 mg/mL, and wherein the mixture is stable for at least 5 days as measured in a Turbiscan™. The invention further discloses a polymer matrix comprising the rGO of said rGO suspension or wet powder and a polymer, and methods for the preparation of the rGO suspension or wet powder and the polymer matrix.

摘要: An article has a surface topography for resisting bioadhesion of organisms and includes a base article having a surface. A composition of the surface includes a polymer. The surface has a topography comprising a pattern defined by a plurality of spaced apart features attached to or projected into the base article. The plurality of features each have at least one microscale dimension and at least one neighboring feature having a substantially different geometry, wherein neighboring patterns share a common feature. The surface has an optical transmission at 400 nm to 700 nm of equal to or greater than 70%. In one embodiment, the surface can comprise a coating layer disposed on the base article.

摘要: A curable film-forming composition is provided, comprising: (1) a curable, organic film-forming binder component; and (2) a corrosion inhibiting component comprising a lithium silicate, present in the curable film-forming composition in an amount of 0.1 to 4.5 percent lithium by weight. Also provided are coated metal substrates, including multilayer coated metal substrates, comprising the above composition. Also provided is a multilayer coated metal substrate comprising: (a) a metal substrate; (b) a first curable film-forming composition applied to said metal substrate; and (c) a second curable film-forming composition applied on top of at least a portion of the first curable film-forming composition. The first and second curable film-forming compositions in dependently comprise: (1) a curable, organic film-forming binder component; and (2) a corrosion inhibiting component comprising lithium silicate, magnesium oxide and/or an azole.

摘要: A method for making a thermoplastic material includes: (a) partially crosslinking an elastomer composition at a first crosslinking temperature to form a thermoplastic, partially crosslinked elastomer composition; (b) mixing a thermoplastic polymer composition with the thermoplastic, partially crosslinked elastomer composition and heating the mixture to a second crosslinking temperature higher than the first crosslinking temperature, wherein the thermoplastic polymer composition is liquid at the second crosslinking temperature; and (c) continuously mixing the mixture while further crosslinking the elastomer composition to form a thermoplastic material having a dispersed phase of crosslinked elastomer composition in the thermoplastic polymer composition. The elastomer composition may include an elastomer compounded with a curing agent and optionally additional components. A thermoplastic material resulting from this process may be molded or shaped by any method used for forming thermoplastic materials into articles, such as molding, extrusion, or thermoforming.
