    摘要: A reflection-type screen that is free from uneven formation attributable to a weave pattern of a ground fabric as a constituent material, can be wound up in a roll form and unwound at need and is less likely to cause deformation, such as buckling, elongation and sagging, and is easy to handle. The reflection-type screen includes a dimensionally stable substrate sheet having an elastic limit of 60 kg/cm.sup.2 or more, a Young's modulus of elasticity of 2.5.times.10.sup.4 kg/cm.sup.2 or more, a bending modulus of elasticity of 3.5.times.10.sup.4 kg/cm.sup.2 or less, a thickness of 35 to 200 .mu.m and a center line average height and a waviness of 100 .mu.m or less each. Laminated on the substrate sheet in the following order is a high-density light diffusion-reflection layer and a translucent light diffusion layer including a soft vinyl chloride sheet, the translucent light diffusion layer having a surface provided with a light-diffusing fine uneven pattern. If necessary, a white or dark-color pigment may be added to the dimensionally stable substrate sheet. Further, in some cases, a white opaque resin layer or both a white opaque resin layer and a dark-color opaque resin layer are laminated in that order on the surface of the dimensionally stable substrate sheet remote from the high-density light diffusion-reflection layer.

    摘要: The amorphous silica has a large apparent specific gravity despite of its BET specific surface area of 200 to 500 m.sup.2 /g, has an oil-absorption amount of as small as 50 to 120 ml/100 g, has an agglomeration degree (D1/D0=DA) defined by the ratio of silica elementary particle diameter D0 to primary particle diameter D1 of from 10 to 50, and has nearly a spherical particulate structure which is quite different from that of the conventional gelation method silica (DA=.infin.). The amorphous silica-type filler exhibits excellent properties in regard to handling, processability, dispersion property and abrasion-resistant property and, when added as, for example, an anti-blocking agent, makes it possible to obtain resin films having transparency and scratch-resistant property without fisheyes or voids. Owing to the above properties, the amorphous silica that is used as a filler for the heat-sensitive recording papers suppresses ground fogging, improves the image concentration, makes it possible to apply a highly viscous coating solution since the filler dispersed in an aqueous solution creates very small viscosity, and imparts excellent abrasion resistance to the apparatus during the step of coating.

    摘要: A high temperature resistant seal for a catalytic converter is made from a high temperature resistant material including between approximately 28 and 60 dry weight percent high temperature resistant ceramic fibers and between approximately 20 and 50 dry weight percent high aspect ratio vermiculite. The seal is formed by mixing the resistant ceramic fibers with an aqueous dispersion of high aspect ratio vermiculite, applying the resultant mixture to a monolithic catalyst structure of a catalytic converter and heating the mixture and the monolithic catalyst structure to evaporate the water from the mixture. The seal and the monolithic catalyst structure can then be assembled in a housing to form a catalytic converter.
