    摘要: A bone fixation system includes at least one bone fixation member and a bone fixation instrument. The bone fixation member includes a strap and a locking mechanism. The strap can be pulled through the locking mechanism so as to form a loop about a target bone so as to secure first and second bone segments in an approximated, compressed configuration. The bone fixation instrument is configured to apply tension to the loop about the target bone. The fixation instrument includes a tension assembly that is configured to secure a free end of the bone fixation member to the fixation instrument. The tension assembly is further configured to pull the free end so as to increase tension in the loop while the tension in the loop is less than a select tension. The tension assembly is unable to further increase tension in the bone fixation member once the tension in the bone fixation member has reached the select tension. The fixation instrument further includes a cutter assembly that is configured to cut the free end of the bone fixation member so as to separate the free end from the loop.

    摘要: A template operable to reestablish the center of rotation of a native femoral head at the head of an implanted prosthesis. The template includes a first member with a marking passage and optional cutting guide and a second member with a target. The first member of the template can be placed on a femur and the second member can be moved in the proximal-distal, medial-lateral and anterior-posterior directions to fix the center of the target at the center of rotation of a femoral head. The head of a prosthesis can be manipulated to come in contact with the target to reestablish the center of rotation of the native femoral head.

    摘要: A method and device for inserting screws into a patient, such that when the device is removed the device does not stick to the screw. The device, being a push-off driver, may have a handle, an inner driver, and a threaded driver sleeve having a button mechanism and a plurality of spheres, and an inner sleeve. The method includes the steps of assembling a push-off driver attaching a bone screw to the push-off driver inserting the bone screw and detaching the bone screw from the driver by unthreading the threaded driver sleeve from the polyaxial screw which causes the spheres in the recess of the inner driver to back up against the start of the recess and causing the threaded driver sleeve to “push-off” the polyaxial screw from the inner driver.

The lead may have a blunt tip, a cutting instrument, or an opening through which a flexible tool can be inserted to forge a path towards the proper location for the portal incision.
