摘要: A culture vessel has a culture space therein and may culture cells in the culture space. The culture vessel includes a main flow path extending within a plane, and a secondary flow path that is adjacent to the main flow path in a direction perpendicular to the plane, extends in a direction intersecting the main flow path when viewed from a direction perpendicular to the plane, and partially overlaps the main flow path. The secondary flow path has a groove that is open to and communicates with the main flow path in an area where the secondary flow path overlaps the main flow path, and the culture space is a space within the main flow path, the space being opposed to a contact surface where the secondary flow path is in contact with the main flow path in the area where the secondary flow path overlaps the main flow path.

摘要: Techniques are described for automated microinjection of substances, such as genetic material, into single cells in tissue samples. An example system comprises a robotic manipulator apparatus configured to hold and position a micropipette. Furthermore, the system comprises a microscope camera positioned to observe an injection site. A computing device receives image data from a microscope camera of the system, where the image data represents an image of a tissue sample. The computing device receives, via a user interface, an indication of a line traced by a user on the image of a tissue sample. In response, the computing device controls the robotic manipulator apparatus to move a tip of the micropipette along a path defined by the trajectory line. The pressure controller injects a gas into the micropipette to eject a substance out of the micropipette at one or more points along the path defined by the trajectory line.

摘要: Biocompatible, mechanically-dynamic thermoresponsive devices, methods for forming the devices, and exemplary applications for the devices are described. The devices include a series of wells therein and provide for temperature-controlled mechanostimulation of single cells or groups of cells that can be retained in the wells of a device. Mechanostimulation can be single instance of any duration, continuous, or regular or irregular cyclic mechanostimulation of single cells, cell clusters, cell spheroids, or organoids and may be utilized in any of a variety of biomedical applications including, without limitation, cellular engineering, cellular phenotyping, and drug discovery/screening.

摘要: An object to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a culture method for cells, which makes it possible to suppress oxygen deficiency of cells in a case where the cell is cultured at a high density, and a production method for a useful substance using the culture method for cells. According to the present invention, there is provided a culture method for cells, in which a relationship between a stirring power P/V per unit volume, a dissolved oxygen concentration CL0, and a viable cell density VCD satisfies a condition of Expression 1, in cell culture in which the viable cell density is 60×106 cells/mL or more.
0.0059×exp[0.0243×(P/V)]×CL0/VCD≥1.10×10−17 Expression 1:
In the expression, L0 indicates a dissolved oxygen concentration [mol/mL]; VCD indicates a viable cell density [cells/mL]; and P/V indicates a stirring power [W/m3] per unit volume, which is defined by a predetermined expression.-
