摘要: An amphibious aircraft has a tricycle landing gear that is movable between a retracted, or up, position and an extended, or down, position. Each member of the landing gear is protected in the forward direction by a hydrodynamic protector, or vane, or shoe, such as may tend to create lift when brought into engagement with water, as during landing. The landing gear protector vanes may be mounted to move with extension and retraction of the landing gear. The landing gear wheels may protrude to extend partially downwardly proud of the sole of the shoe. The landing gear actuator and transmission may operate all gear in concert. The shoes may include sacrificial wear members for ground engagement in the event of an inadvertent gear-up landing on terrain.

摘要: A porphyrin of general formula (I) having a transition metal (II) cation in its core and one or two mono-, di-, tri-, tetra- or penta-halophenyl groups and two or three pyridyl groups in the 5, 10, and/or 15 positions of the porphyrin ring contributing to a positive two or three charge neutralized by the presence of a respective number of anions. The porphyrin of the general formula (I) characterized by killing pseudomonas bacteria in the dark.

摘要: The present invention provides methods for diagnosing a venous thromboembolism or intracardiac thrombi in an individual in need of such treatment. A representative method of the present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining a plasma sample from said individual; determining the baseline level of D-dimer in said sample; contacting said sample with a compound that catalyzes the conversion of plasminogen into plasmin; and measuring the level of D-dimer is said sample after administering or contacting said sample with a compound that catalyzes the conversion of plasminogen into plasmin, wherein a significantly greater concentration of D-dimer after contact with a compound that catalyzes the conversion of plasminogen into plasmin than prior to contact with a compound that catalyzes the conversion of plasminogen into plasmin indicates that said individual has pulmonary embolism or venous thromboembolism.

摘要: A cantilever feedback mechanism includes an upper cantilever and a lower cantilever. The upper cantilever and lower cantilever have a resistance spring rate to facilitate movement of the bellows over a selected range of resistances. The upper cantilever has downwardly oriented upper cantilever stops. The lower cantilever has upwardly oriented lower cantilever stops that engage the upper cantilever stops. Mean are provided for applying a preload to maintain the lower cantilever stops and the upper cantilever stops engaged until a force urging movement exceeds the preload.

摘要: The invention relates to a bike stem and more generally to a stem for connecting a steering bar to a steering tube. The stem body is substantially hollow allowing the use of a locking member to engages the handlebar on one end and the steerer tube on the other end and can be secured by tightening bolts on only one end of the bike stem, thereby exerting pressure on the handlebars and to the locking member, which thereby applies a force to the steerer tube, securing the steerer tube to the bike stem without the need for bolts on the steerer tube side of the bike stem.

摘要: Chip identification pads for identification of integrated circuits in an assembly. In one example embodiment, an integrated circuit (IC) assembly includes a controller, a plurality of ICs, a shared communication bus connecting the controller to the plurality of ICs and configured to enable communication between the controller and each of the plurality of ICs, and a set of one or more chip identification pads formed on each IC. Each set of chip identification pads has an electrical connection pattern. The electrical connection pattern of each set is distinct from the electrical connection pattern on every other set. Each distinct electrical connection pattern represents a unique identifier of the corresponding IC thereby enabling the controller to distinguish between the ICs.
