    摘要: Technology for provisioning categories of applications on a mobile device is disclosed. A wireless network element can communicate Application Specific Congestion Control for Data Communications (ACDC)/Application and Service Access Control (ASAC) information to the mobile device. The ACDC/ASAC information can include a preconfigured list of application categories. Each application category can include a set of applications that are allowed to access a wireless network from the mobile device during at least one defined condition level. The wireless network element can activate ACDC/ASAC for one or more condition levels while a capacity threshold of the wireless network is exceeded.The wireless network element can allow a set of applications for a selected application category to communicate with the wireless network when the ACDC/ASAC is activated based on the one or more condition levels for the selected application category.

    摘要: A user equipment (UE) may send a non-voice emergency services (NOVES) message to a public safety access point (PSAP). If the UE does not receive an acknowledgement that the PSAP received the NOVES message, the UE may buffer the NOVES message and periodically re-transmit the NOVES message. The NOVES message may include a counter value that is incremented with each successive transmission. The PSAP may recognize if the counter value is greater than an initial value, and determine if the PSAP or another PSAP has received the NOVES message previously. In some embodiments, the UE may change an interval between re-transmissions if the UE receives a partial acknowledgement from an operator network indicating that the operator network has received the NOVES message but that the PSAP is unavailable. Embodiments also provide an emergency module hosted at the operator network to store and forward the NOVES message to the PSAP.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe devices, methods, computer-readable media and systems configurations for handling user plane congestion in a wireless communications network. A packet data network gateway (PGW) and/or a serving gateway (SGW) may proactively transmit a congestion notification to a mobility management entity (MME) including a level of congestion of the PGW and/or SGW. The MME may receive congestion notifications from a plurality of PGWs and/or SGWs. The MME may receive a request for a packet data network (PDN) connection from a user equipment (UE), and may take an action in response to the request based on the reported levels of congestion. The action may include selecting a PGW and/or SGW for the PDN connection, notifying the UE that the PDN connection cannot be established, and/or negotiating with the UE to terminate or modify one or more existing PDN connections in exchange for establishing the new PDN connection.

A user equipment (UE) can receive a first metadata including group information for files corresponding to targeted media content and media presentation description (MPD) information associated with the files, wherein each file the group information is associated with a group identification (ID) element. A second metadata can be received in a user service description (USD) that includes MPD information for streaming media content. A user profile can be identified that includes group ID elements associated with a user. Targeted MPD information for selected targeted media content having the group ID element that is included in the user profile can be inserted into the MPD information for the streaming media content to generate a merged MPD. The selected targeted media content and the streaming media content can be received according to the merged MPD for playback at the UE.
