摘要: Fundamental laser light having a wavelength of 1,064 nm, for example, is generated by a solid-state laser medium. The fundamental laser light is reflected by a flat mirror and amplified again passing through a Q-switch, a solid-state laser medium, a Q-switch, a Q-switch, a solid-state laser medium, and a Q-switch. The fundamental laser light furthermore reflects from a flat mirror, passes through a flat mirror for second-harmonic resonance, passes through a lens, then reflects from a flat mirror for laser light separation, and enters a nonlinear optical crystal for the third harmonic and a nonlinear optical crystal for the second harmonic. A solid-state laser generator can thereby be obtained in which second-harmonic laser light obtained in an intermediate stage can be used with good efficiency and be converted, for example, to third-harmonic laser light and higher-harmonic laser light with higher efficiency and higher output.

摘要: A vehicle navigation system that uses a portable information terminal. The navigation system displays route guidance information by receiving GPS satellite radio waves, and includes a navigation unit that generates route guidance information, a meter panel of a meter unit, which displays only part of the route guidance information, and a display panel of the navigation unit, which displays every selected item of the route guidance information. The meter panel of the meter unit is disposed within the visual field of the driver when in driving the vehicle. On the other hand, the display panel of the navigation unit is disposed outside of the visual field of the driver when driving the vehicle. The resulting configuration provides a vehicle navigation system that provides the driver with the minimum necessary information when driving, and provides additional detailed information when needed, combined in a system that affords excellent operability.

摘要: High load screwing work, calking work, or press-fitting work ancillary to assembly work can be performed by a low rigidity robot such as a tabletop robot by, in the screwing work, returning the torque applied to one of the bolt and nut from a rotation drive unit such as a motor and reduction gear to the casing part of the rotation drive unit through a relative rotation inhibiting mechanism supporting the other and, in the calking work or press-fitting work, returning the action force applied from a driving means such as an air cylinder to the calking punch etc. to the casing part of the driving means through the workpiece and grip parts. Therefore, the path of transmission of the torque or action force is kept inside the robot hand and does not leak to the outside.

摘要: The present invention relates a GPS receiving apparatus having improved measurement precision as the result of selectively fetching only some of the signals transmitted by a number of satellites. The GPS receiving apparatus includes an antenna for receiving the electric waves from the satellites, an elevation-angle-computing unit for finding an elevation angle of each satellite on the basis of the electric wave received from the satellite, and a comparison unit for comparing the elevation angle with a predetermined reference elevation angle. Only electric waves transmitted by those satellites having an elevation angle greater than a predetermined reference elevation angle are selectively used for computing a position.
