摘要:
Labeled targets on a support synthesized with polymer sequences at known locations according to the methods disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 5,143,854 and PCT WO 92/10092 or others, can be detected by exposing selected regions of sample 1500 to radiation from a source 1100 and detecting the emission therefrom, and repeating the steps of exposition and detection until the sample is completely examined.
摘要:
Radiation-activated catalysts (RACs), autocatalytic reactions, and protective groups are employed to achieve a highly sensitive, high resolution, radiation directed combinatorial synthesis of pattern arrays of diverse polymers. When irradiated, RACs produce catalysts that can react with enhancers, such as those involved in autocatalytic reactions. The autocatalytic reactions produce at least one product that removes protecting groups from synthesis intermediates. This invention has a wide variety of applications and is particularly useful for the solid phase combinatorial synthesis of polymers.

Methods are provided for preparing nucleic acid arrays on a support. In these methods a plurality of nucleic acids are synthesized on the support and the synthesis steps are followed by drying steps in which the array is exposed to a dry atmosphere following the synthesis steps.
摘要:
This invention provides methods of performing nucleic acid hybridization assays on high-density substrate-bound oligonucleotide arrays involving including in the hybridization mixture an isostabilizing agent, a denaturing agent or a renaturation accelerant.

The present invention provides methods and systems for detecting a labeled marker on a sample located on a support. The imaging system comprises a body for immobilizing the support, an excitation radiation source and excitation optics to generate and direct the excitation radiation at the sample. In response, labeled material on the sample emits radiation which has a wavelength that is different from the excitation wavelength, which radiation is collected by collection optics and imaged onto a detector which generates an image of the sample.

Methods and devices are provided for using high-density arrays of diverse chemical entities. In preferred embodiments, small volumes of multiple liquids are delivered to multiple reaction sites on a single substrate where the liquids are constrained to localized reaction sites. The substrate need not be cut apart prior to being used for analysis. Accordingly, the area of the substrate on which analysis may be performed is maximized. In many embodiments of the present invention, constraining regions hinder the transport of liquids between adjacent reaction sites.
摘要:
Methods for concurrently processing multiple biological chip assays by providing a biological chip plate comprising a plurality of test wells, each test well having a biological chip having a molecular probe array; introducing samples into the test wells, subjecting the biological chip plate to manipulation by a fluid handling device that automatically performs steps to carry out reactions between target molecules in the samples and probes; and subjecting the biological chip plate to a biological chip plate reader that interrogates the probe arrays to detect any reactions between target molecules and probes.
摘要:
A method of using micromechanical devices as sensors for detecting chemical interactions between naturally occurring bio-polymers which are non-identical binding partners is provided. The method is useful whether the reactions occur through electrostatic forces or other forces. Induced stress, heat, or change in mass is detected where a binding partner is placed on a cantilever for possible reaction with an analyte molecules (i.e., a non-identical binding partner). The method is particularly useful in determining DNA hybridization but may be useful in detecting interaction in any chemical assay.
