The protector is configured to be mounted within a cavity of the sheetpile of a bulkhead in order to prevent waves, wake, and debris from reaching the top portion of the bulkhead, minimizing damage and prolonging the life of the bulkhead. An angled waterguard portion is disposed within the cavity, and is configured to deflect water down and away from the top of the bulkhead. The waterguard portion is mounted to a whaler of the bulkhead via a planar mount portion which is secured to the underside of the whaler of the bulkhead via stainless steel lag bolts.

A system that determines one or more sleep phenotyping parameters of a subject. In one embodiment, the system comprises a sleep sensor, a stimulus generator, and a processor. The sleep sensor generates signals that convey information related to the physiological functions that indicate the sleep stage of the subject. The stimulus generator provides a stimulus to the subject that enables information related to the sleep phenotyping parameters to be determined. The processor receives the signals generated by the sleep sensor and is in operative communication with the stimulus generator. The processor (i) determines, based on the signals received from the sleep sensor, whether a trigger condition related to the current sleep stage of the subject is satisfied, (ii) controls the stimulus generator to provide the stimulus to the subject if the trigger condition is satisfied, and (iii) quantifies the response of the subject to the stimulus.

A slatted horizontal blinds system has separate positional controls for distinct subsets of slats. Odd and even slats can be moved relative to each other both horizontally and vertically. With a scalloped upper and lower edge, overlapping slats can produce a variety of light allowing and esthetic modes. Some versions only support up and down movement and some slats are rectangular. This is caused by hiding and exposing of slat portions and voids between slats by the relative movement of odd and even slats. Slats may have translucent colored portions, apertures or printed designs. The absolute movement may only be of one subset of slats while other slats stay in position. In other cases all slats can move simultaneously in relation to each other. Mechanisms include screw drive with “lost motion” operation and movement latches. Also slidable carriages, end-cams, and linear motors can be used. In some cases the bottom rail has mechanisms as well as the head rail.

A portion of the ion current comprises cation and/or anion species generated from second solution flows separated from the sample solution flow path by semipermeable membranes. Cation and/or Anion ion species generated in the second solution flow regions are transferred into the sample solution flow path through ion selective semipermeable membranes. Ion current moving along the sample solution flow path is controlled by varying the composition of the second solutions and/or changing the voltage between membrane sections for a given sample solution composition. The sample composition may also be varied separately or in parallel to enhance trapping, release and/or separation efficiency and range. The invention when interfaced to an Atmospheric Pressure Ion Source, that may include Electrospray Ionization, with mass spectrometric analysis enables independent control of the on-line sample separation process and the Atmospheric Pressure Ion Source or Electrospray ionization processes.

A portable electronic device is inserted in-between the plate assembly and the main bar. Thereafter, the post assembly is rotated from a first position to a second position which is perpendicular to the length of the plate assembly. While in the second position, the post assembly prevents the rearward movement of the portable electronic device. The main bar prevents the upward movement of the portable electronic device. The plate assembly has a recessed profile that allows airflow through the bottom portion of the portable electronic device while being secured with the securing device.

The custom type library extends the capability to define specific behavior for models and dimensions, and create and define content specific to any industry, reuse, and packaging. The custom type library inherits from a generic type library of the platform. The customized type library defines business object types and associates business rules therewith. Through a common interface, the performance management platform can iterate through the business rule chains and enforce/apply the business rules during the operations.
