Abstract:
The present application provides a stateful clutch system for a DC motor connected with self-locking worm gear. The system includes a first gearbox housing for accommodating a motor coil with a gearbox. Further, the system includes a second gearbox housing for accommodating at least one gear and a driving shaft. Specifically, the gear is adapted for displacing inward and outward movement by establishing a connection with a motor shaft. The driving shaft is adapted for locking and unlocking the gear rotation by transferring and stopping torque. Additionally, the DC motor is used for receiving an input signal from a motor driver for rotating in a clockwise direction and an anticlockwise direction. Moreover, the DC motor rotates in a clockwise direction to disengage connection with the gear moving outward which stops the transfer of the torque through the driving shaft. Furthermore, the DC motor rotates in an anticlockwise direction to engage connection with the gear moving inward by transferring force through the driving shaft.

An adsorbent for removing impurities such as CO2, H2S and water vapors from a gaseous olefin stream of at least C2 to C4 olefins is disclosed. The adsorbent comprises of zeolite CaA molecular sieve modified with metal silicate.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are representative embodiments of methods, apparatus, and systems for distributing a resource (such as electricity) using a resource allocation system. One of the disclosed embodiments is a method for generating a bid value for purchasing electricity in a market-based resource allocation system. In this embodiment, a desired performance value indicative of a user's desired performance level for an electrical device is received. Price information from an electricity futures market is received. A bid value for purchasing electricity from a local resource allocation market sufficient to operate the electrical device at the desired performance level is computed. In this embodiment, the computing is performed based at least in part on the desired performance value and based at least in part on the price information from the electricity futures market.
Abstract:
A personal electronic carrier device (PECD) comprising means for receiving PECD data; means for storing PECD data; means for transmitting PECD data directly or indirectly PECD; and operating software means to affect the displaying, verifying, receiving, storing and transmitting the PECD data. The PECD is part of a network having a plurality of data stations and preferably a main data base. A method when use with the PECD that maintains master information or database of an individual and is integral to internetworking and interoperability of data consisting of medical, particularly insurance information, drug information, medical records; educational and identification data. The method of data exchange in association with the PECD within and between networks provide for the efficacious and convenient handling of data. Overall, it presents a method that provides an efficient and effective way of data exchange and interoperability by leveraging the master data in the PECDs of individuals.
Abstract:
In one aspect, the process includes providing a precursor medium comprising a liquid vehicle and a precursor to a component, and flame spraying the precursor medium under conditions effective to form a population of nanoparticles, wherein the nanoparticles include the component. The population of nanoparticles, as formed, comprises less than about 5 percent by volume particles having a particle size greater than 1.0 μm. A size distribution of the population of nanoparticles may have a d50 value less than about 500 nm, and it may be unimodal. The size distribution may have a geometric standard deviation of less than about 2. The process may occur continuously for at least four hours or more. Greater than about 90 percent by weight of the precursor to the component in the precursor medium may be converted to the component in the nanoparticles. The process typically occurs in an enclosed flame spray reactor.
Abstract:
A group of solid adsorbents in the form of powder, granules or pellets having improved adsorptive capacity and selectivity for ethylene and/or propylene is disclosed. These adsorbents comprise (a) a silver compound and (b) a bentonite clay support bulk of which comprises SiO2 and Al2O3 and the rest being oxides of Fe, Ca, Mg, Na and K and having sufficiently high surface area on which the silver compound is dispersed or impregnated. The support may be pretreated by polymer solutions to impart sufficient mechanical strength as measured by attrition loss. Mechanical strength may also be improved by pre-heating the support. These adsorbents are highly stable and are capable of reversibly adsorbing substantial quantity of ethylene and/or propylene at room temperature. The rates of adsorption of ethylene and/or propylene are also very high in these adsorbents, which is believed to be due to the synergistic interaction between the components of the novel composition of the present invention.
