Abstract: The present invention relates generally to wireless networking, and more particularly to methods and apparatuses for providing flexible WiFi docking with minimal overhead. According to certain aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses that allow a WD to select peripherals in a configuration that is useful for the WD from a Topology point of view. According to certain other aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses that allow peripherals to be used as part of the Docking Session, but does not require using all the peripherals all the time. According to certain additional aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses that allow for dynamically switching the use of peripherals with minimal overhead. According to still further additional aspects, embodiments of the invention include methods and apparatuses for signaling user authentication functionality for certain peripherals to be used in a docking session.

Abstract: A system and method communicates with one of two or more secure digital input output (SDIO) units that only one SDIO unit responds when it is being addressed. The SDIO unit has an SDIO clock input port, an SDIO data bus output port, and an SDIO bidirectional command port. Each SDIO unit has an address indicator within it associated with each SDIO unit. An SDIO unit will not respond to an SDIO command unless an SDIO unit address encoded in the SDIO command matches its address indicator.

Abstract: A method for providing an update package to a node in a mesh network comprising a set of nodes and a gateway node arranged to provide access to an update server via a second network. The gateway node collects package information from each set node, including a first node. Each package identifies a respective node and its package version. The gateway node may query the update server based on the package information. The update server may respond to the gateway node with an updated package for the first node. The gateway node broadcasts the updated package into the mesh network as a sequence of mesh messages. Each of a first plurality of nodes of the set may forward the mesh messages to other nodes. The first node stores the mesh messages so as the sequence of mesh messages is received, assemble the updated package.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards tracking physical objects' pixel locations in a stream of video frames. Radio frequency (RF) readers may be positioned relative to a scene. RF tags may be positioned in the scene at known pixel locations within the field of view of a video recording device. The RF tags may be enabled to generate RF signals to the RF readers. The RF readers may generate RF values based on the RF signals, which may be employed to determine a function to translate the RF values into known pixel locations within a video frame. An RF tag may be disposed at a physical location of at least one object within the scene. A stream of video frames and RF values may be recorded over time. The function may be employed to translate the recorded RF values into pixel locations for the least one object each recorded video frame.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a circuit for suppressing unwanted magnetic interference. The circuit can have a transformer having a first coil, a first pair of input terminals, and a first pair of output terminals. The transformer can produce a first magnetic field. The circuit can also have a harmonic trap. The harmonic trap can have a second coil and a second pair of input terminals operably coupled to the first pair of input terminals. The harmonic trap can produce a second magnetic field opposing the first magnetic field. The harmonic trap can suppress electrical signals of at least one of the first input terminals and the first output terminals of the transformer at a resonant frequency of the harmonic trap. The harmonic trap can also suppress the first magnetic field in a far field.

Abstract: A method of operating a voltage regulator including a source voltage rail and a plurality of output voltage rails, the method including: converting a source voltage on the source voltage rail to a respective output voltage on each output voltage rail; selecting an output voltage rail; comparing the output voltage on the selected output voltage rail to a reference voltage for the selected output voltage rail; and if the output voltage of the selected output voltage rail is less than the reference voltage for the selected output voltage rail, controlling the voltage regulator to increase the output voltage on the selected output voltage rail, wherein the frequency at which an output voltage rail is selected is dependent upon the rate at which the voltage regulator has previously increased the output voltage on that output voltage rail.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to composite inductor structures for use in integrated circuits. There is provided a composite inductor structure comprising a first inductor coil and a second inductor coil. The second inductor coil comprises a multi-turn loop that surrounds the first inductor coil. Abstract: The present application relates to methods for adapting a data rate used to generate data packets for transmission by a wireless transmitter (12) operating in a wireless network. In one method, the transmitter (12) monitors the number of data packets that cannot be transmitted in a given time period, and adjusts the data rate used for generation of data packets for transmission in accordance with the number of packets that remain un-transmitted at the end of the given time period.
