    摘要: A method for testing the functional capability of a catalytic converter of an internal combustion engine uses an exhaust-gas probe having a measuring electrode for measuring the resistance of a metal oxide layer having low catalytic activity. The resistance of the metal oxide layer is dependent on the oxygen partial pressure in the exhaust gas, for a predetermined air factor. The conversion rate of a catalytic converter has an effect on the oxygen partial pressure in the exhaust gas downstream of the catalytic converter, so that the resistance of the metal oxide layer depends on the conversion efficiency of the catalytic converter. It is thus possible to test the functional capability of the catalytic converter with the simply constructed exhaust-gas probe using a simple resistance measurement.

The valve further comprises a valve needle which is arranged in the recess and has a closing element (14). In a closed position the closing element (14) seats on a valve seat (18) and blocks or else releases the flow. The closing element (14) is embodied such that a gap (19) is embodied between the valve body (4) and the closing element (14) downstream of the valve body (4), the gap comprising a gap angle (β), a gap length (l) and a maximum gap width (s). The gap angle (β) and the gap length (1) are embodied such that in the closed position, the maximum gap width (s) is at least as large as a surface roughness of the valve body (4) or of the closing element (14) and that the maximum gap width (s) amounts to a maximum of 10 micrometers.

In the mounted state of the leakage connection, the snap ring, with a part of its wall thickness, lies in the bore groove and with the rest of its wall thickness in the nipple groove, thereby preventing the leakage connection from being unintentionally withdrawn.

    摘要: A circuit arrangement for operating a linear exhaust-gas probe has a measuring cell for measuring a gas concentration by determining a measuring-cell voltage, in addition to a pump cell for pumping gas. A comparator circuit compares the measuring-cell voltage with a target voltage and provides a corresponding analog deviation signal. A pump current source provides the pump current is controlled by the deviation signal using a control circuit for the approximation of the measuring cell voltage to the target voltage. In order to reliably limit the pump voltage with no significant detrimental effect on the operation, the circuit also comprises: a second comparator circuit for comparing the pump voltage with a predefined threshold voltage and for providing a corresponding binary switching signal; and a counter coupling path between the output of the pump current source and the control circuit, the path being enabled when the threshold voltage is exceeded.
