    摘要: A method for controlling the temperature of a workpiece in a hot strip mill includes calculating temperature changes of the strip at each mill stand location by determining changes in workpiece deformation resistance and correlating the changes in deformation resistance to changes in temperature. Error corrections are made for changes in rolling speed. The calculated temperature change at each mill stand is used to control water sprays positioned adjacent the mill stands. A temperature sensor is placed downstream of the last mill stand to act as a check on the desired delivery temperature of the workpiece. Temperature discrepancies from the temperature sensor are fed upstream to modify temperature corrections.

    摘要: In general, in one aspect, a graphics driver receives information related to where eyes of a user watching a video are focused, determine if the user is focusing their attention on a particular location of the video, and generates post processing instructions for pixel macro blocks of decoded video frames. The instructions are based on whether it is determined that the user is focused. The graphics driver is further to determine a focus area associated with the particular location the user is focusing their attention on, determine a peripheral area around the focus area, generate a first set of post processing instructions for pixel macro blocks within the focus area, generate a second set of post processing instructions for pixel macro blocks within the peripheral area, and generate a third set of post processing instructions for pixel macro blocks not within either area.

    摘要: A magnetic field sensing system includes one or more magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) cells, and may be configured to determine one or more of a presence, a magnitude, and a polarity of an external magnetic field incident upon an MRAM cell. In some examples, a control module of the system controls a write current source, or another device, to provide a write current through a write line associated with the MRAM cell to induce a magnetic field proximate to the MRAM cell. The magnetic field may be less than a magnetic switching threshold of the MRAM cell. After initiating the provision of the write current through the write line, the control module may determine a magnetic state of the MRAM cell, and determine a presence of an external magnetic field incident upon the MRAM cell based at least in part on the magnetic state of the MRAM cell.
