Provided are methods for manufacturing improved cerium oxide abrasives suitable for forming slurry compositions suitable for CMP processes. The cerium oxide abrasives are produced by the heat treatment of a mixture of a cerium precursor compound under conditions that produce primary cerium oxide particles that are incorporated in larger secondary abrasive particles. The structure of the primary cerium oxide particles and/or the presence of incompletely oxidized cerium within the secondary abrasive particle tend to reduce its mechanical strength, thereby reducing the likelihood of damaging a substrate surface during a CMP process utilizing such abrasives.

The flow cytometry device also includes a lens that is positioned between the channel and a color filter. The lens directs at least a portion of light transmitted from the channel to the color filter. The color filter includes a plurality of zones, where each zone is adapted to allow transmission of only a particular spectral range of light. The flow cytometry device further includes a detector configured to receive the light that is transmitted through the color filter.

Each of the IF unit and the RF unit comprises a plurality of paths, and the transmission data and the reception data are transmitted via at least one of the paths. Therefore, it is possible to provide a terminal function which can be executed either in real time mode or in non-real time mode in a multi-band multi-carrier environment for fourth generation wireless communication systems.
