摘要: A technique used to determine a falling state of a falling body, such as whether the falling body reaches a falling termination speed and falls uniformly or falls with a change in the speed is provided. In particular, a method of determining a falling state of a falling body passing through a measured substance inserted into a measuring container is provided, the method including: measuring a first elapsed time which is a time interval between extreme values of two potentials generated in a first coil pair when the falling body passes through the first coil pair and a second elapsed time which is a time interval between extreme values of two potentials generated in a second coil pair when the falling body passes through the second coil pair; and determining the falling state of the falling body by comparing the first elapsed time with the second elapsed time.

摘要: A television camera comprises a pick-up element, an iris, a variable gain amplifier for a picked-up signal, and first and second comparators to compare the video level of the picked-up signal to be supplied to a pick-up signal system following the variable gain amplifier with first and second reference levels and respectively supply first and second compared output signals therefrom to the iris and to the variable gain amplifier for controlling them thereby to form first and second automatic control loops, whereby when the amount of light incident on said pick-up element is above a predetermined value, the first automatic control loop is actuated and when it is below the predetermined value, the second automatic control loop is actuated.

摘要: Measurement is made of centrifugal force produced on a crankshaft to be tested that is being rotated about its rotation axis, to provide centrifugal force variation information of the crankshaft. Also, measurement is made of errors in respective rotational phases of crankpins of the crankshaft about rotation axes of the crankpins. Dummy information, comprising rotational unbalance data representative of rotational unbalance components to be removed from the centrifugal force variation information of the crankshaft, is created using the measured errors in the respective rotational phases. Then, an initial rotational unbalance value of the crankshaft is determined, using the dummy information and the centrifugal force variation information of the crankshaft.

摘要: When signal charges stored in a vertical transfer shift register (8V) of a CCD (8), for example, are shifted to a horizontal transfer shift register (8H), signal charges of a predetermined line are shifted at low speed and signal charges of other lines are shifted at high speed. Thus, a camera having an area sensor formed of a solid state imager element (CCD) or the like can pick up an image in the form of a standard television signal and also can serve as an entirely electronic slit camera.

摘要: Only one encoder for encoding color difference signals B-Y and R-Y into a carrier chrominance signal is required in a video camera combined in one unit with a video signal recording and reproducing apparatus. In both a recording and a reproducing mode, a composite video signal is provided as an output signal for monitoring, even though the color video signal is processed in the component manner by the apparatus. A synchronizing signal is selectively applied to the encoder either from a reference signal generator or from a reproduced synchronizing signal in the recording mode or the reproducing mode, respectively, so that only one encoder is sufficient to perform both recording and playback.
