摘要: The present invention provides a method for selective and high-yield separation, concentration, and recovery of desired cells from a blood sample. The method of the present invention is characterized in that the blood sample is caused to interact with lectins under conditions in which the cell membranes are inactive and cell-lectin complexes/non-complexes are formed, the sample containing these cell-lectin complexes/non-complexes is incubated together with a substrate, the surface of which is covered with polymers having carbohydrate chains which are specifically recognized by the lectins, and the cells are immobilized on the surface of the substrate via the lectins, and subsequently, the liquid layer and the solid phase are separated, and the desired blood cells are recovered from the liquid phase and/or the solid phase, and these lectins are present in such an amount that although the cells to be recovered from the solid phase bind to the solid phase with the polymer, the cells to be recovered from the liquid phase do not bind to the solid phase with the polymer.

摘要: A blood cell separating system is offered for precisely separating and concentrating rare fetal nucleated cells intermixed in the blood of a pregnant woman, to conveniently obtain test preparations capable of being used for prenatal chromosomal/genetic diagnosis. A blood cell separating system is characterized by comprising (1) a primary separating device for removing mainly non-nucleated erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets from blood samples taken from a pregnant woman to obtain a primary separated sample, (2) a secondary separating device for using a carbohydrate-lectin method to remove residual non-nucleated erythrocytes and leukocytes from the primary separated sample obtained by the primary separating device to obtain a secondary separated sample with concentrated fetal nucleated cells, and (3) preparing device for preparing the secondary separated sample obtained by the secondary separating device.

摘要: An optical pickup comprises an objective-lens driving device including a movable section provided with an objective lens, a focusing coil, and tracking coils, and a fixed section provided with a single magnetic circuit having a magnetic gap, the focusing coil and the tracking coils being disposed in the magnetic gap. The point of application of a tracking-driving force, the point of application of a result force of focusing-driving forces occurring in and outside the magnetic gap, and the position of the center of gravity of the movable section are made to substantially coincide with each other. In addition, the objective lens and the magnetic circuit are disposed within an area of a window in a lower shell of a optical disk. Further, a through hole for accommodating a lower portion of a yoke of the magnetic circuit is provided in a mounting base on which the objective-lens driving device is mounted. An inclining fulcrum and a height adjusting means for inclining the objective-lens driving device about the inclining fulcrum are provided in the vicinities of the through hole.
