Abstract: Valve assemblies and related systems are disclosed. A method includes imaging a flow cell of a flow cell assembly carried by a flow cell interface using an imaging system of an apparatus and moving the flow cell assembly relative to the imaging system using a stage assembly based on a command from an associated controller. The method also includes driving a motor of the apparatus using shaped input signals to reduce vibration imposed on at least one of the stage assembly or another component of the apparatus based on movement of the motor.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a chassis, a frame, a sample support member, an imaging assembly, an actuation assembly, and a vibration capture assembly. The frame is coupled with the chassis. The sample support member is supported by the frame. The actuation assembly is supported by the frame and is operable to drive movement of the imaging assembly relative to the sample support member. The vibration capture assembly is operable to selectively transition between a plurality of modes, including a damping mode and an isolation mode. In the damping mode, the vibration capture assembly is configured to resist movement of the frame relative to the chassis in response to operation of the actuation assembly. In the isolation mode, the vibration capture assembly is configured to prevent transmission of vibrational movement in the chassis to the frame.

Abstract: An imaging system includes a focus tracking module including: a light source to project a first pair of spots on a sample; and a first image sensor to obtain one or more first images of the first pair of spots; a second image sensor to obtain one or more second images of the sample; one or more mirrors optically coupled to the second image sensor, the one or more mirrors positioned in an optical path from the sample to the second image sensor; and a controller to: determine, using at least a first separation distance measurement of the first pair of spots from the one or more first images, a first sample tilt of the sample about a first axis of the imaging system; and actuate, based at least on the first sample tilt, the one or more mirrors to offset the first sample tilt about the first axis.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are described herein. For instance, a detection apparatus may comprise memory and at least one processor. The detection apparatus may be configured to obtain an image comprising at least one feature and a plurality of fiducials. The plurality of fiducials may be arranged in a pattern. The detection apparatus may be configured to determine a plurality of sub-regions of the image. Each sub-region comprises a subset of the fiducials comprised in the image. The detection apparatus may be configured to perform a geometric transform on each sub-region to generate a respective local transform associated with each sub-region. The detection apparatus may be configured to register respective locations of the fiducials comprised in the image based on the respective local transform associated with each sub-region. A size of each sub-region may be selected such that each sub-region is substantially invariant to stage jitter.

Abstract: The motion of a mechanical stage may be directed in x-, y-, and/or z-dimensions such that excitation of a resonant frequency f is reduced. In particular, once a resonant frequency f is identified, the acceleration of the stage in the x-, y-, and/or z-dimensions may divided into an even number of acceleration segments or intervals, with the second of each pair of acceleration segments starting 1/(2f) seconds after the start of the initial acceleration segment. The acceleration intervals may be defined by a start time, an amplitude profile, and/or a time duration. In some implementations, the amplitude and time duration of each acceleration pulse may be different. The amplitude and time duration of acceleration steps may be determined and adjusted to compensate for the particular resonance frequency of an individual system, and programmed into a controller for the stage using motor programming controls.
