    摘要: A corrosion preventive resin having in the molecule at least one chelate forming group selected from among groups represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and are each a hydrogen atom or alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and groups represented by teh general formula ##STR2## wherein R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and are each a hydrogen atom, alkyl having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a group forming a bivalent o-phenylene group along with two carbon atoms attached thereto. A photopolymerizable composition which includes (a) a resin having in the molecule at least one mole of polymerizable double bond per 1000 g of the resin and having per molecule at least one chelate forming group selected from among the groups represented by formula (II) and formula (III), and (b) a photopolymerization initiator is also disclosed.

    摘要: The invention provides a film-formable, chelate-forming resin having, per 1000 g of the resin, about 0.2 to about 3.5 moles of chelate-forming group represented by the formula [1], [2], [3] or [4]: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a nitroso group, a cyano group, a hydrocarbon group having up to 18 carbon atoms, or an alkoxyalkyl group having up to 12 carbon atoms, and a process for preparing the resin.The invention also provides a metal surface treating composition and a corrosion preventive coating composition both containing the above chelate-forming resin, and a chelate-forming resin composition comprising the resin and a crosslinking agent.The invention further provides a method for forming an electrophoretic coating, comprising the steps of bringing the metal surface treating composition into contact with a metal surface before electrodeposition on the metal surface to accomplish pretreatment, and conducting electrodeposition on the pretreated metal surface.

    摘要: This invention provides:(A) an anti-icing composition comprising a silicone resin which is at least one condensate selected from the group consisting of:(i) a condensate of an alkoxydimethylsiloxane compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 l is a methyl group or an ethyl group, A is an oxygen atom, an ethylene group or a 1,3-propylene group, a is an integer of 5 to 150, b and e are different or the same and each represent an integer of 1 to 3, c is an integer of 3-b and d is an integer of 3-e,(ii) a condensate of the compound of the formula (I) and an alkoxysilane compound represented by the formula(R.sub.3)h--Si--(OR.sub.2)j (II) wherein R.sub.2 is a methyl group or an ethyl group, R.sub.3 is an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, h is an integer of 0 to 3 and j is an integer of 4-h,(iii) a condensate of the compound of the formula (I) and a dihydroxydimethylsiloxane compound represented by the formula ##STR2## wherein k is an integer of 10 to 200, and (iv) a condensate of the compound of the formula (I), the alkoxysilane compound of the formula (II) and the dihydroxydimethylsiloxane compound of the formula (III); and(B) a method of preventing icing which comprises applying to an article an aerosol comprising the foregoing anti-icing composition and a propellant.

    摘要: A surface-modified plastic plate for use in optical disc bases, windows of aircrafts, automobiles or of architectural structures, solar cell receptors, liquid crystal display panels and protective sheet of computer touch panels, which comprises a laminate consisting of a plastic substrate; a cured film of an actinic ray-curable primer composition, said cured film formed onto a surface of the plastic substrate in a film thickness of 0.1 to 10 .mu.m; and an inorganic material layer formed onto the cured film by a physical deposition process and having a thickness of 0.1 .mu.m or more but less than 1.0 .mu.m; and a surface-modified plastic plate for use in windows, preferably windows of aircrafts, automobiles and architectural structures, which comprises a laminate consisting of a plastic plate, preferably comprising a plastic selected from polymethyl methacrylate polymer and polycarbonate in the case of the window of the aircraft; a cured film of a heat-curable primer composition, said cured film being formed on a surface of the plastic plate in a film thickness of 0.1 to 10 .mu.m; and an inorganic material layer formed onto the cured film by a physical deposition process and having a thickness of 0.25 .mu.m or more but less than 1.0 .mu.m.
